Why for Hou: Try to pair a defnsive PF with Yao. Sort of an improved Chuck Hayes.

New Line-Up: Alston/TMac/Battier/Wallace/Yao

Why for Chi: Get out from under Wallace's huge deal and get smaller, more managable deals back. Also clears room for Noah and Thomas.

I know that Chicago wants to get out from under Wallace's deal, but are they willing to part with a #1 to do so?

Maybe the Bulls fans have a better perspective, but I just don't see Chicago wanting to do this.

And no.

We can't do a 5 for 2 deal. We have 15 players. We'd have to cut JamesOn, cut Gray, who's playing really well for us, and buyout Griffin. For the right to get 5 mediocre-to-bad guards back, and give up a 1st rounder. Awful.

I tried to get Duhon or Krypa added to the deal to sweeten it for the Rox and remove the 1st, but Wallace's deal is so large that it's nearly impossible to make it work...

I'm not drinking the Ben Wallace koolaid.

Please keep Ben away from Houston. He's washed up, and his contract is HORRIBLE. The only useful thing in the trade is Chicago's pick, protected enough to not make it worth it.
