CHI gets the best of the deal. It's almost a return worthy of Gordon being swapped for Duhon; Brewer's that good.

UTA has zero reason in this trade to move either Ronnie, and San Antonio doesn't need Noc' as a backup.

Utah is not going to give up Ronnie Brewer for Pietrus! And Joe Smith is not needed with Millsap and Boozer.

Big man depth is usually good. I might listen to a Harpring-for-Joe-Smith proposal. No reason to throw in Brewer...send Pietrus directly to Chicago and leave Brewer out of it.

Utah has no need for Joe Smith...quit offering him already.

I'd happily do it, hell, you can even keep Elson or Mah-whatshisname.

WHY? He is a perfect back up center for the Jazz. Utah has no frontcourt depth and Smith would fit in perfectly thats why i keep pruposing ways to get him there...

No, you keep proposing ways to get him here so that you can expand the trade and get Brewer to Chicago, which SOMEhow happens in every single one of these.

well yea...its not like im trying to hide the fact of trying to find a way to get Brewer to Chicago...I think Brewer would be a good fit in Chicago HENCE im trying to figure out a fair trade to get him there... And the first step in making a trade is trying to fix a teams weakness.. one of utahs weakness's is lack of depth in the frontcourt which is why Smith comes in b/c he would be a solid addition to the team

Agreed. So we might trade Harpring for him and call it a day. (Maybe not even that.) There is no benefit to Utah to expanding the trade just so Chicago can get Brewer. We like him.

But c'mon loser...most teams are DYING to trade away their young talented players for minor fills...all the cool kids are doing it.

Well then its clear that Utah values Harpring pretty high...cuz when i look at the 2 players Joe Smith>Matt Harpring...but then again i havent really seen much of Harpring so i guess im wrong

I see an unathletic SF who cant even shoot a 3. There are a ton of SF's and normally bigs have more value then SFs. Plus Joe Smith is rebounding and scoring more in a position of NEED... What does Matt Harpring do that is so much better then have the other SFs in the league on a cheaper contract?

No dude, we value BREWER. Most of us would do Harpring for Smith straight up, but you keep throwing Brewer in who is our starter, and is much more thana filler involving scrubs.

Exactly? Is Smith worth more than Harpring? Sure, okay. (Keep in mind that Utah brass love Harpring and value him more than any rational human being would ;) )

But if we hear Brewer's name, it's NOT worth it. Downgrading a starter so you can upgrade a bench player is almost never a good idea. Maybe we toss some second rounders, but Brewer is a dealbreaker.

Joe Smith is easily worth more than Matt Harpring.

But the difference is not Brewer... who was the guy I wanted the Bulls to take before they traded up for the train wreck known as the Swedish Sensation.

Utah compares this trade to a mechanic who says they can fix your transmission but to do so would leave you without any brakes. Your offer to fix a small hole leaves a gapping crater to be filled. No thanks.

The Jazz trading Ronnie Brewer for Joe Smith, would be like the Bulls trading Tyrus Thomas for Ronnie Price. Hey, you guys need a 2-guard, right?

If you want Brewer, you'll have to include Noah to even get the Jazz listening. RB is a solid pro with a lot of potential.
