Start the Rebuild Part Deux (changed some things)

Post#1 » by DanTown8587 » Sun Jan 13, 2008 8:26 am

Chicago Receives
Raef Lafrentz
Pat Garrity
Steve Blake
Keith Bogans
Joel Pryzbilla
Atlanta (from Phoenix) #1 2008
Portland #1 2008
Orlando #1 2008

Orlando Receives
Joe Smith
Marcus Banks
Ben Gordon

Phoenix Receives
Chris Duhon
Adonal Foyle
Thabo Sefalosha

Portland Receives
Ben Wallace
Carlos Arroyo

Chicago does this deal obviously for the three picks. Orlando gives up their pick because they get Smith, who will instantly help them down low and Gordon gives them scoring from the back court and the bench, two places they lack scoring. Phoenix gets two rentals in a reliable pass first PG and C who doesn't care to score, two pluses and they unload the Banks contract. Portland gets to clear a roster space at the end of the year with Arroyo that they wouldn't have had and they get a rebounder who should help them stay in the playoff hunt and will come off the books right when they need extension money for guys like Aldridge, Roy and Outlaw. The second deal I would do is call Memphis and offer Noce-Khryapa-Griffin-CHI 09 (lotto for 09, 10; top ten for 11, unpro for 12) for Miller/Warrick. Then the Bulls roster would be

Hinrich/Blake
Miller/Bogans
Deng/Warrick
Thomas/LaFrentz
Noah/Gray
4 1st round picks in 08

Building for the future with cheap draft picks and such.

I dont think ANYONE on the CHI's rosther could accomplish that,

Deng maybe, but besides him NOBODY

please stop posting ridiculously one sided deals for the Bulls.

Portland is certainly not giving up Blake and a pick to turn Lafrentz into Ben Wallace's bigger, longer contract. They have a cap plan for '09, and Przybilla already on the books, so I don't know that they'd do Lafrentz for Wallace straight up.

Portland trades Raef (admittedly a bad contract) and a first and gets a worse contract back in return?

Your homerism is showing. No one is trading for your albatross, and no one is sure as heck going to give you any kind of picks for him.

i edited the deal so the bulls take joel. And remember this about Portland, it is at a full roster and wants to add Sergio Rodriguez so it probably will trades it first anyway.

POR will sooner let James Jones walk,(who has been playing GREAT) than take on Ben Wallaces terrible deal.

Of the three guys I traded off Portland, none truly play exceptional minutes and could be replaced, and Wallace helps them and their glaring need to rebound better.

Ben Wallace, at 15 Mil, address ABSOLUTELY NO NEEDS for POR.
