Not too New of an idea but...NY/CLE/SAC

Post#1 » by JAX » Sun Jan 13, 2008 5:51 pm

NY:
Rose, Jones, ZBo Chandler OR Balkman
for
Artest Hughes KT

CLE:
Hughes Gooden Snow 1st
for
Bibby ZBo

SAC:
Bibby Artest KT
for
Rose, Gooden, Snow, Jones, CLE 1st, Balkman OR Chandler

Why:
SAC: go into rebuild mode and move KT's contract, get a couple young guys and a pick. Can look at it as Bibby for Snow Gooden 1st, Artest for Jones Rose Balkman Chandler, plus the benefit of dumping KT for nothing.

CLE:
get the PG they want, don't have to take on KT's contract, they do have to take on ZBo's but they get rid of Hughes in the process. ZBo>Gooden; Bibby>Hughes, plus get rid of dead weight in Snow, pick will mid-to late 1st anyway.

NY:
Clear out frontcourt by moving ZBo, add defense.

The knicks are gonna have to find a new home for Richardson, Crawford etc... cuz they gonna have to many guards after this trade

The Cavs would probably take Crawford for Marshall or something.

This trade works: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=25~61~849~2986~165~1017~739~1711~356~512~796&teams=18~5~18~23~5~5~23~23~18~18~23&te=&cash=
Same trade, just with Crawford and Marshall added, and Jones taken out. Cavs would also include a 1st.

Bad for the Kings.

Thomas for Rose is a definite plus, but outside of that it's Bibby and Artest for expirings, a late pick, and 1 of 2 SF's that we have no use for.

I don't like this deal at all for the Knicks. Its essentially the same Artest to NY deal we've seen a billion times with Randolph for Hughes thrown in. While I would happily make that Artest deal there is no way in hell I would make that Z-Bo for Hughes deal.

The Bibby to Cleveland thing has been done to death, any trade one team will accept the other quickly rejects. It's not going to happen.

Also, I seriously doubt that Bibby and Artest get moved as part of the same deal, I can see both being moved but not in the same deal.
