As much as I'd love to move Randolph, I'd rather have him than Larry Hughes. Damon Stoudamire is not the PG that this here Knick team needs. The PG they need is currently either playing in Memphis, Arizona or Indiana. But IF they want Stoudamire in some sort of backup role (and can't see why they would with all the guards they already have that may be best suited for that position) they can just offer him a vet minimum contract after this season.

Yeah smills. I think that last night should answer any questions about whether Martin or salmons should be moved IF EITHER. Dropping 25 on 7/9 from the floor in your first game back in a month is pretty damn impressive to me. I don't think that John has the intangibles when it comes to scoring that Kevin does. Don't get me wrong, I think that he is an incredible value for what we are paying him and what he gives, but Kevin is - and is going to be - even more so. Besides, I've seen you fall in love with a bench guy who moves up and produces (basically because of increased minutes) before. Just sit back and be patient for a bit. Let Petrie get Bibby moved and dump Kenny's contract (the last of the millstone that Webber became when he blew his knee), and then we'll see how things look for now and the future. I'm not to worried. John is a traditional iso player who has learned to get other guys involved too, and adds the hustle factor to that. He is an ideal sixth man, because he doesn't necessarily need plays drawn for him to produce - just take advantage of opportunities as they arise. Also, he will still see 30+ MPG in that role and will be on the floor in crunch time because he also brings ballhandling and three position defense to the table.
Also, to anyone else here re: moving Ron. If we do move him, I believe that we should be looking to get bigger at the 3 (like when we had Peja/Hedo) and not trade for another 6'7"guy who is not nearly as strong as Ron - it just doesn't make good basketball sense. You want to create mismatches - not be forced into them.
