Flip Murray
for
part of TPE from Diogu deal

With Stuckey slowly getting integrated into the team, Murray becomes expendable, now Detroit opens up a roster spot for Webber

Webber/Sheed/Brezec
Sheed/Max/Herrmann
Tay/Amir
Rip/Afflalo/Hayes
Chauncey/Stuckey/Hunter

For the Warriors, Troy Hudson is done already, so they're in need some guard depth before Belinelli is ready for more minutes

Biedrins/Harrington
Harrington/Barnes
Jackson/Pietrus
Ellis/Azubuike
Baron/Murray

Makes sense to me. Murray and Ty Lue are the kinds of guys the Warriors should be looking at IMHO.

Not sure if bringing in Webber would be involve, but I have to believe Joe D would be listening if a team wanted to take Flip.

Get 'er done.

Dunno if Webber would start over McDyess either, but we'll see, you want Flip, take him, I feel bad for him kind of, he worked hard all summer and came into camp in great shape to lose his spot to a rookie, thats gotta destroy his confidence.

Is Flip an expiring? If so then I'm all for this deal. I actually like Flip a bit as a PG/SG backup.

Murray is an expirining but can the Warriors atleast send a 2nd rounder Detroits way?

Also- no way Webber starts over Dice, if anything he would be the 4th big

Wow , a fair deal thats actualy a win - win for both sides . You dont see that every day on the trade board . I would have Golden State throw in a future second rounder like someone mentioned earlier , but with or with out the pick I'd do this deal if I was Detroit . And yes I'd bring back Webber , but only if Flip would commit to not playin him more than 10 - 15 minutes per game . I think he could be extremely effective in that role for the Pistons .

As for the Warriors , I think would Flip would excel similar to what Nazr is doing with the Bobcats . He fits that versatile role that Nellie likes of his players . He doesnt shoot the three that well but he's decent and he can be a nice playmaker to help Baron and S - Jack .

I expect Flip to be apart of a larger package near the deadline.... So why do we do this? To get webber? We can have webber in mid febuary. lets not pull the trigger unless we get something of value in return; maybe second rounder.

The only way Joe moves an expiring contract is if he has a player in mind he wants to trade for. Webber ain't coming back.

We got 8.8 million dollars in expirings + Jarvis' contract. We got two young guys people have interest in, Max and Amir. If we can upgrade the center spot without touching the starting five by including the expirings and one of our Promising young guys, Webb will be coming back to fill the whole left in our bench.

The deal is fair value-wise, but do the Warriors really want another combo guard? Flip is as much of a point guard as Monta is, and thats not really what the Warriors need. W's need a true point guard.

although we have a lot of combo guards, i'd do it. looks like a good deal that can help both teams.

With Monta Ellis improving on last year's MIP why on earth would the W's need another combo guard? They just signed CJ Watson out of the Dleague because they need a backup PG and I doubt anyone thinks that Flip is a PG.

If Detroit really was willing to move Flip for the Diogu TPE I'd do it but I wouldn't give up the pick since Flip would just be a 1 year rental, and like one of the posters said, is not really a point which is what we really need. But if just for the TPE (essenntially free), I'd probably do it. I think he's better than Watson (who seems to be pretty good so far) just based on his experience alone. This would be doing Flip a solid (Detroit) since he'd probably get more run in Golden State where his game might be better suited for. If it's going to get done, it better be soon, because I understand that the Diogu TPE is expiring on Thursday.

Not sure how bad GSW needs Flip, but he isn't playing anymore for Detroit unless there is an injury. Detroit could still use him as part of another package, so if we don't get anything back, it isn't worth doing. Flip plus Hayes is about 4mil in expiring deals - that could get us a better SF backup.

The TPE does nothing for us; we are already under the Tax line. Flip is an expiring contract. I would rather upgrade one of the starting five or upgrade the bench by combining his contract with other expirings. No second rounder no deal.
