To Washington:

Rudy Gay/Stromile Swift

To Memphis:

Caron Butler

I can't think of a single reason why Washington would touch this. Do they want Gay so he can someday maybe become what Butler is today? Or is Stromile Swift the sweetener?

I'm confused. Please clarify for me...

Jamison expiring, Arenas opting out. A team of big men with little talent and no chemistry. What exactly are the Wiz building towards here?

If they move Jamison's expiring for something that can help them before the deadline then this may be a no go.

If not, something like this might interest them

Swift is an expiring deal next season.

Nothing you've said changes what I wrote.

I don't see how this trade eliminates any of the defficencies the Grizz currently have? Gay is a plus and not a negative so doing the deal is unnecessary. Unless you feel like Caron Butler is the closer the Grizz don't currently have, which I haven't seen any evidence of that as well.

If Jamison and Arenas were leaving, I could understand the logic, but both are most likely returning.

Even if they weren't, I don't get it. It seems like a step backwards, at best...

even if jamison and arenas BOTH leave next year the wizards would still be a playoff team. Arenas is most likey to stay anyways. He has said the only reason he is opting out is to get more money...money only the wizards will beable to pay him (unless he wants to go to the sixers)

Horrible and poorly thought out trade.
