Sixers aren't interested in trading a starter for scrubs unless there is a pick or expiring contracts involved.

So the Knicks trade their starting center for a point guard who isn't much of an upgrade over Marbury if he is even an upgrade at all.

So Memphis dumps Hak and Stro and adds Curry to their run and gun offense.

Well, that would only work if there was a buffet at both ends of the court.
