Why does Detroit do it?
Everyone is hating on Zach Randolph, the man is averaging 17 and 10 in 32 minutes.

I mean the guy is producing and gets a bad reputation.

Pistons took a risk on Rasheed and that really put them over the top.

Here Dumars will trade McDyess, Amir (who isn't playing now anyways), and Brezec (an expirer) for Randolph and a 1st round pick.

Big Z-Bo Entertainment should put the Pistons over the top and help bring the trophy back to Detroit.

If we sign Webber that leaves us with:

Billups/Stuckey/Hunter
Rip/Afflalo
Prince/Hayes
Sheed/Max
Randolph/Webber

= CHAMPIONSHIP

Why New York Does It?
Well, Isiah gets rid of Z-Bo and in return gets half his contract in expirers. This allows him to trim some salary, get a solid mature veteran in McDyess, and a young Amir Johnson (who can develop in the Big Apple)

As a Pistons fan I am intrigued but so no thank you... there is too much promise in Amir still and I can only hope that the only reason he isn't playing right now is to "showace" the "talents" of Brezec and Hermann before they are traded... otherwise, Fire Flip. I just really dont like the idae of giving up amir for the pick, and at the same time dont think Isiah would enjoy turning channing frye into Amir... Probably a no go. Especially when one factors in Randolphs inability to play defense and/or not be fat.

No team that starts Z-Bo at C = Championship.

I love McDyess, but Randolph is a significant upgrade over Antonio.

This team knows what it takes to win so putting a "fat immature" player like Randolph means nothing. Z-Bo will bow down to the Pistons vets and get his poop together.

It is also important to note that Randolph has never played on a great winning team like the Pistons. Who knows, with the Pistons great passers in Billups and Rip, even Rasheed, we could see an increase in production.

Pistons fans should love this because it turns a jump shooter (McDyess) into a low-post presence in Z-Bo.

So what if he does not play defense, Lebron picked apart our TEAM last year and won the series by himself.

Getting Randolph will GREATLY IMPROVE our inside scoring and allow Rasheed to play on the wings the way he likes to.

We get a chip with this trade

LMAO - Piston's fans don't love this, they hate it. We have no use for a guy like Zach on our team and NWIH would we give up Amir for him.

I wouldn't even trade Dice (7 steals tonight ) for him straight up as Zach plays no D and doesn't get the concept of passing the roc.

There are a few positives: First, we get rid of Anotonio's extension. Second, Amir will never develop in Detroit anyway. Third, we get Newyorks draft pick!

Sorry to break it to you Pistons fans but there is no way in hell the Knicks make this deal.

Don't forget...we're getting Amir Johnson in the deal. You know the guy who was picked 56th in the 2005 draft and has played a mere 35 games in his 3 year NBA career. Apparently he's supposed to be a superstar in the making and the Pistons fans feel we are stealing him away.

Don't forget...we're getting Amir Johnson in the deal. You know the guy who was picked 56th in the 2005 draft and has played a mere 35 games in his 3 year NBA career. Apparently he's supposed to be a superstar in the making and the Pistons fans feel we are stealing him away.

The first round pick is what makes this too much. I would certainly do it just to get the pick.

Z-Bo gets 20ppg, but would give up 30ppg. Not a good deal for the Pistons.

Yea that is what really kills the deal in my eyes. I think McDyss is a nice veteran player and Brezec would be a good backup center. The fact that both have expiring deals would make them interesting trade chips because most expiring deals are completely useless. But considering Randolph is still a young, productive and tremendously talented player I see no reason why the Knicks should give up a first rounder just to send such a player within their conference.

Id rather have Dice than Randolph, even if he is more talented, and the likely protection on that pick means its definitely not worth more to us than Amir.

I would do it from a Pistons perspective. Were getting a pick that is guaranteed to be in the top 10 and will greatly help us rebuild for the future, a lot better the Amir would be able too.

Z-Bo is a talented player and hes from Michigan, and I mean, he has shown work ethic in coming back from micro fracture surgery. He gives the Pistons a consistent low post threat and there is such a positive atmosphere here in Detroit, Z-Bo has never been in a positive situation in his career, give the kid a break. The vets here will whip him into shape.

Yea, I know how you feel. Amir certainly looks like a deal breaker. The Pistons are so arrogant to think they can still roll right through to the playoffs while playing a monster like Amir "a mere" 8 minutes a game.

Maybe if NYK kept the "Hoop Family" in New York...
