I hate seeing the Heat get better as I'm really enjoying their 8 win season or whatever it is... but I could definitely see something like this going down before the deadline as I just cant see Riley accepting a 20 win team...

Where's the relief? The Heat just cannot afford this deal, even though the talent return is great, IMO.

BTW, I would think the Heat would move Wade to the point and start Redd and Simmons on the wing, but even if they were intent on keeping him at the two, Chris Quinn would start long before Royal Ivey...

Its also terrible for the Bucks. The give up Redd simply for expirings and a so-so prospect? Expirings are worthless for the Bucks because it isn't a FA haven, the team needs solid players and prospects.

The thing is what Milwaukee is looking for is not so much salary cap releif but more or less young talent and draft picks. Not like Milwaukee has ever been known to sign big talent.

Heat looking for tax relief or not, the trade is too expensive for Miami.
The trade is like trading a young Dorell, expiring contracts and absorbing the contract of Simmons for Redd. Too much for Michael Redd

I wouldn't trade Dorell AND a 1st AND take on Simmons for Michael Redd. It's just not worth it.

We don't need expirings we need youth and draft picks. Salary cap space does Milwaukee nothing.. Who are we going to sign? Tell me the last big name FA to sign with Milwaukee? Biggest name that I can think of Moses Malone at the twilight of career. So in sum no dice we don't need expirings. This trade has no real value to Milwaukee.
