You might want to check your figures. Draft Express has his official measurements as 6'5.5." That's a far cry from 6'8." That's why he went in the second round.

6 5 1/2 in feet, 6'6 1/2 in shoes. His official measurements are 6'7. Thats his height for proper listing.

Thats why Carmelo Anthony is listed at 6'8", not 6'6 like he is in bare feet.

Interesting difference though. NBA.com has him at 6' 8" 250

ESPN has him at 6' 7" and 272.

Either way, he can score against bigs.

I think ESPN tries to get accurate measurements, they have KG at 6'11 253, whereas NBA.com must just report whatever the player likes the best, they have KG at his infamous 6'11 220

I wish he could guard them too

Maybe he put that 22 pound difference on his head?

270 he is not. Just look at him. I think 260 is an exageration, he looks 250-255 to me.

they reported he lost a bunch of weight in the offseason to get quicker. Seriously. He was 270 last year.

NBA.com has him listed at 6'8".

And apparently I should read the whole thread before I post. Sorry.

Craig does not get moved unless in a package to get a 5. Otherwise it is not worth it. Hopefully he signs as a back-up, if not then we lose him. but he will not bring equal 1 for 1 value back for us.

QFT. I dont want to see this guy go. He's a fan favorite and a good character kinda guy. If he walks away next season then kudos to him for earning a contract, but lets not deal players that want to be here.

Unless, like Rev mentioned, we can get a solid 5.

Interesting idea. If MN was convinced Cookie is not staying I would consider that deal. Gadz has been bad the last couple years, but fills a need for basically the same contract as Jaric. CV is the interesting part. Honestly he would be a gamble. His lack of defense and true position scares me, but he was a high pick with gifts. if both Cookie and CV were signed to an equal years/cost contract I would personally take cookie without thinking twice. Which makes me wonder if this deal is worth it.

Good idea, but I would not do it for MIN without a lottery-protected pick, or some other incentive. Gadzuric might be helpful in MIN, but his deal is as long as Jaric's, and he's less productive. I have not been impressed with the motivation of CV, particularly on defense. You may be surprised to hear this, but Smith's numbers this season have been better than Villanueva's.

I think your idea makes a lot of sense, and that the players would all have more value on their new team than their old. To me, that's the hallmark of a good deal. However, Jaric, GG and Smith on MIN still have more value than the improved numbers of Gadzuric and CV on MIN. I think a lottery-protected pick works for both teams.

I'm going to toss one up too, that is in the same ballpark as the other offers in this thread.

CLE gets Craig Smith and Jaric

MIN gets top-20 protected 1st and Eric Snow

Why for CLE:

1. This gets the Cavs +18.6 ppg, +6.8 rpg, and +2.8 apg.
2. This moves an unproductive Snow for the 2-year window
3. Craig Smith provides low post scoring which could use.
4. Jaric would match well with Gibson, Hughes, and LeBron. He can do everything Snow can do, and better.
5. Financially, the extra Jaric years are outside CLE's lux tax. His deal's expiration matches the time LeBron needs a new contract. This provides production, on a "buy-now, pay-later" program.
6. Most other deals demand Gooden, who I think is vital to the Cavs
7. The pick has value, but maybe less to them then to others. Its additional guaranteed salary that year that is doubled, and the pick obviously doesn't help this season (07-08, and probably not the next (08-09 ), for a win-now CLE.

WHY FOR MIN:

1. The typical pick
2. Snow's deal expires alongside Walker, Buckner, and Hudson and Juwon's buy-outs
3. Snow can't provide much on the court, but I expect his leadership would help this young team, particularly MIN's young PG's. CLE has its leader in LeBron.
