So im bored and I was a big fan of the Nash/Dirk combo so I decided to see what could get them back together fairly

Read: Not really serious or anything just really really bored

Suns Trade:

Amare Stoudamire
Marcus Banks
DJ Strawberry

Dallas Trades:

Dirk Nowitski
Eddie Jones

Conclusions:

Suns: Dirk opens up the floor even more then Amare does, allows them to play a running game with Nash/Marion or a half court game with Nash/Dirk. Jones is a vet to help in tough games. Getting rid of Banks contract is a bonus

Mavs: Get Amare who is playing much better then Dirk at the moment. Banks is a decent backup point and Strawberry has potential

Thoughts other then how I wasted your time reading this thread?

Wasted time, but as a mavs fan I would consider this.

I too would consider this but would eventually reject it

As cat said, wasted time.

If we trade Dirk for Amare, we would have to change our whole system. Meaning we would need a better passing PG and some more outside scorers (not just shooters).

From Phoenix's POV, Nash's ast totals would go down as Dirk creates more of his shots than just finishing what the PG starts. They become more half court taking away the abilities that make Nash so great.

Obiously, extreme cases in on both sides, but in short, makes no sense for either team.

lol I'm pretty damn sure that Nash's stats going down would be no obstacle at all

Nash was good as a Mav next to Dirk and Finley (now Howard).
Nash is great next to Marion and Amare.

Catch my drift?
