Jesus H. Christ, you're stealing Wade from Miami and sticking them with Larry Hughes? How is Miami dealing the best player in the trade, along with $15 million in expiring contracts, and getting stuck with Hughes' miserable deal?

Edit: This should go without saying, but Miami gives a huge HELLLLLLLLL NOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I think since MIN used Garnett to get him, Al Jefferson is a player that even I wouldn't dare offer in a trade.

Go back to trying to send Theo to NY. At least that was a tolerable idiosyncrasy.

Foye + Jefferson for Wade isn't absurd (it's not fair value for Wade, but it's awful either). The problem is that the rest of this deal is Minnesota dumping all their crap contracts for $15M in expiring contracts plus a solid PF in Haslem. That's the ridiculous part.

It's not just Wade though, is it? It's Haslem and a $9 million expiring contract. And what do we get in return for that part of the package? One of the worst contracts in the league belonging to one of the frailest players in the league! Awful!

And even if it's fair value for Wade, we're not trading him! Period!!!!!!!

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a good trade from this guy, there are so many wrong things for Miami in this one. Exactly what team are you bandwagoned onto?

Miami losses the by far best player in the trade, a top 10 player in the league, a young player who you can build a contender around, and there aren't many players you can truly build a contender around for two solid young players, Foye hasn't proven he'll be a great player though and definitely doesn't make up for the difference between Wade and Jefferson. And then you make impossible to build around these two by giving them a crap contract for an expiring one. The Heat at least have some hope now that they can rebuild for the future when Shaq's deal comes off the books and all of these other deals come off, but this deal puts them in the crapper with nothing solid to build around.

Maybe if you throw in two Minn first round picks ofr this year and 2010 draft, maybe, just maybe, the Miami Herald won't publish an article about how Pat Riley died of a heart attack because he laughed himself into one when he heard the trade.

Say the value is equal (which is entirely debateable) - just because the value is equal does not make it a good trade.
