Sacramento gets lots of expiring contracts and a young point guard that might pan out. This would make them about 18mil under the cap this summer if they let them all expire. If Ron Artest ops out or is traded Sacramento could be HUGH free agent players.

Beno Udrih/Javaris Crittenton/Carlos Arroyo
Kevin Martin/Shannon Brown
John Salmons/Ira Newble
Ron Artest/Ronny Turiaf
Spencer Hawes/Kwame Brown/Justin Williams
Three 1st round picks(Sacramento's should get higher after this trade)

In case you didn't know, we have starting center already and Javaris is not worth trading for those guys.

Wow, I'm not sure here. This isn't realistic because Z is worth way more to us than to any other team, but we do get good value. As a side note, Devin Brown is playing well for us and Simmons is not a SF.

The Kings get raped.

Garcia is a better young player than any player they get back and they also give up Bibby, Miller, AND Douby? You gotta be kidding me.

People overrate cap space SO much. Having talent is #1. This reams the Kings have current talent AND future talent.

It's just so laughable I'll stop now before I move onto personal insults (yes, this trade is THAT bad).

Bad for the Kings.

We lose two young players with a lot of potential and get back one player with a lot of potential. I would also rather have Douby and Garcia over two late first round picks. Kings are not going to give up Douby and Garcia just to get rid of Miller and Bibby. If the Kings are giving up one of our young guys it would be to bait someone into taking Kenny Thomas. Kings don't need to rebuild to this exent. All we need is a legit power forward. No reason to throw away all your trading chips for a couple late 1st's and Crittenton, especially without getting rid of the one player they really want to get rid of.

You're right that this is to big to be realistic but I wanted to rebuild the kings in one trade and shed money. I know the kings loose LOTS of talent but they could have enough money to go after Emeka Okafor AND Luol Deng. Not to mention the picks.

Garcia & Douby both hold 1st round pick value to the Kings based on their play so far and potential. So there goes the 2 picks the Kings get back.

Bibby is worth expiring contracts and a 1st and I'd argue Miller (with his play this season) is also worth around that as well (maybe a late 1st). After you take out the young players for picks swap it's basically the Kings giving up 2 players with good trade value, an OK role player, and a 3-year deal in SAR for expirings, a crappy youngster (Shannon Brown), and a complete unknown in Crittenton who hasn't shown anything significant this year to warrant anything more than where he was picked in last years draft (mid 1st round)

What's worse is that the Kings don't even dump their worst contract out of this despite giving up BY FAR the most talent in this deal.

yeah.... I wanted to dump Kenny but I couldn't work it in this deal. I was hoping that Ron Artest would be able to dump him. I know that the value isn't good but there aren't that many expirings out there and I doen't think many team really want to be exchanging expirings or 3 year 30mil+. If you'd rather target the 09 free agents you could get better young players for sure... It's just a different approach to the rebuild.
