Sac/ Cle / Chi Bibby to the cavs, again

Post#1 » by Danimal1730 » Thu Jan 17, 2008 7:50 am

Ok, i have been toying with this for a while. I think it is the kind of move people can get behind but i may be crushed as well.

Sacramento
Outgoing
Mike Bibby
Francisco Garcia
Incoming
Tyrus Thomas
Chris Duhon
Ira Newble
Eric Snow

Cleavland
Outgoing
Eric Snow
Ira Newble
Drew Gooden
Incoming
Mike Bibby

Chicago
Outgoing
Duhon
Tyrus Thomas
Incoming
Drew Gooden
Francisco Garcia

It am not sure if it is even. I think maybe Cle gets too much. I was considering Having CLE add a pick, or have the kings add on kenny thomas and maybe a pick for marshal and D. Jones

Tell me what you think

Send Gibson, Cleveland #1 to Sacramento, maybe the Kings bite. But the Kings love Fran Garcia.

I know, i am a kings fan. But the thing is his value may never be higher than it is right now. He proved over his past ten games, averaging 17 and 5rebs, that he is a starting shooting guard in this league. I am only trading him in order to get value, and i think that Tyrus Thomas my be an ideal fit at the 4 both now and in the future for the kings.

LOL, no way. Maybe our 1st in 09. That's it.

And also, I think the trade would be better if Garcia was taken out, and Wallace for Hughes is added in.

While I am tempted to get Tyrus Thomas, I do not want to move Garcia unless the Kings get back more.

Wow, I'm a lifelong Kings fan and I cannot believe the homerism for Cisco. The guy is a solid 6th man on a good team at best. He is a starting SG on a horrible team. If either team adds a 1st to Sac, I jump all over this.

If Kings can get Tyrus a 1st and some expirings for Bibby, Cisco, I do not see how they decline.

I like Tyrus but Im saying this for the whole year "Kings decline" on any Bibby trades....Bibby needs to get his value back up to his usual high plateau value....It's pretty dumb to trade him CURRENTLY....

I do not understand this logic...the year to trade him is this year. Next year is his contract year, so we lose him for nothing or get little value as he is a rental for any contending team next year. I would much rather have Tyrus and a 1st.

I dont understand your logic...Why trade him NOW, if knowing that he has a low value already...It's GM 101.... Why would he have a lower value next year? He is expiring next year...His value should be high ala Antawn Jamison... Regardless, Bibby is not going anywhere...

We wouldn't trade him next year so someone else can have his expiring...we would keep it. But I would rather have Tyrus, a 1st and Newble, Snow's expirings.

So, you would like to trade Bibby NOW and get a lesser deal? OR wait until the trade deadline or Offseason and Bibby's value is likely to improve by then thus better deals?

You think we can get better than Tyrus and a 1st?

Hypothetically, if that deal was on the deal for Bibby in his current state...Why trade him knowing that we could get Bibby's value even higher thus better trades IMO....

EDIT: It's not only Bibby part of the deal there's is also Garcia....

Ahhhhhh, now I see your angle. I guess I am not so hooked on Cisco. I think with Martin, Salmons, Douby and even Jones in the right matchups, the SG spot is covered.

You guys are nuts. Tyrus Thomas, a #2 pick, for Bibby? Take that and run. Can't expect to get much better than that. Yes, Garcia is tough to let go. But LPJ4MVP even said he'd be willing to take Garcia out! Sac would jump all over Bibby for Thomas/Duhon/Newble/Snow, IMO.
