The Grizzlies bring in Marion to play the PF position for them. They also manage to dump Cardinal's contract, and pick up a possible lottery pick.

I think the principles involved are JO to Memphis, Gasol to Phoenix and Marion to Indiana because Marion can play the 4 much better in the East, the Grizzles would be tempted for a better low post guy in O'Neal and Gasol allows Amare to play the four, where as JO plays the 4 and Amare stays at the 5.
