NJ/NY/MIL - Jefferson / Randolph / Villaneuva

Post#1 » by pistons » Fri Jan 18, 2008 4:33 pm

NY Gets :
Jamaal Magliore
Jason Collins
Charlie Villanueva

NY Trades :
Zach Randolph
Wilson Chandler

Why for Knicks :

Frees up Eddy Curry who I believe the Knicks are more commited to than Randolph and also aids him by giving him two effective post defenders to pair with him . It also puts David Lee into the starting line - up for good which is where he belongs . Villaneuva is also a great talent who can be a great third big man and can play in place of and with Lee . Magliore's an expiring and Collins only has one year after this one and he and Marbury together could be very enticing to some teams next year that are trying to get under the cap . Chandler is the young prospect they give up to facilitate the deal but he is expendable with Jeffries, Balkman , Richardson , Nichols etc. on the wing .

C- Curry / Magliore / Collins
PF - Lee / Villaneuva
SF - Balkman / Jeffries / Q Rich / Nichols
SG - Crawford / M. Collins
PG - Marbury / Robinson

Nets Trade :
Richard Jefferson
Jason Collins
Jamaal Magliore

Nets Get :
Zach Randolph
Bobby Simmons
Wilson Chandler
Future 1st round pick

Why for Nets :
They finaly get a low post scorer to free things up for VC . Randolph would thrive with a PG like Kidd and a defensive help player like Sean Williams to help out . Magliore and Collins are not part of the long term plan and wouldnt really be missed too much . Simmons would provide the defensive tenacity you lose in Jefferson and Chandler and the 1st are just to sweeten the deal as RJ is playing the best ball of his career right now and sweeteners may be needed to pry him from NJ .

C - Randolph / Krstic
PF - Willliams / Boone
SF - Simmons / Nachbar / Chandler
SG - VC / Wright
PG - Kidd / Williams

MIL Gets :
Richard Jefferson

MIl Trades :
Charlie Villaneuva
Bobby Simmons
Future 1st round pick

Milwaukee is able to trade a couple of spare parts for RJ who while a bit expensive is the perfect compliment to Michael Redd .

C - Bogut / Voskuhl
PF - Yi / Gadzuric
SF - RJ /Mason
SG - Redd /
PG - Williams / Bell

Not bad for Milwaukee. Actually, pretty damn good.

Not bad at all for Milwaukee the draft pick would not be this year and if it was would have some protection on it for a couple of years but overall not bad at all.
