PHOENIX SENDS:

Amare >> Pau. And no, Hakim Warrick doesn't make up the difference.

More like Pau + Miller for Amare + Banks, still doubt the Suns do it.

I think it would be more fair if Memphis also bought out Damon Stoudamire...

Amare + Banks

for

Gasol + Miller + Stoudamire (signed for vet min)

PHX would end up with a pretty deep line-up:

PG - Nash/Stoudamire
SG - Bell/Barbosa
SF - Hill/Miller
PF - Marion/Diaw
C - Gasol/Skinner

Memphis is a team that is lottery bound. Iavaroni can continue to develop Amare in Memphis and they can build around Amare, Gay, and Conley in a young uptempo system.

I like the Sheridan highway robbery scenario better (Amare & ATL pick for Gasol & Warrick); but this one is probably acceptable too - so long as the Grizz can be assured Amare won't walk in the summer of 09.

Actually, a proposal was on one of the local sports talk stations here in Arizona. Full details below:

Amare
Diaw
Banks
Atl #1

for

Gasol
Miller
Warrick
Stoudemire

Giving the Suns a line-up like this:

Nash/Stoudemire/Strawberry
Bell/Barbosa/Tucker
Hill/Miller
Marion/Warrick
Gasol/Skinner/Marks

Miller will blow up in the Suns' offensive system.

Phoenix doesn't have to worry about depth, cause D'Antoni only plays eight or nine anyway. Plus, I think they want to trade Marion over Amare.

We'd rather trade Marion, thats true. However, he is able to opt out his contract after this season making it difficult to get good value for him. He is also a huge part of the Suns system, the same could be said for Amare, but Marion is tailor made for it.

Damon Stoudamire is great too because he can spell Nash some minutes. He is a vet point guard who can run the offense something that can not be said about Banks or Barbosa.

Warrick is great insurance if Marion decides to leave and can produce for us better than Diaw has thus far this year.

Miller is a bonafide shooter and will really help when Bell is not shooting well. Having him on the roster will also spell some minutes for Hill and provide insurance in case of an injury (knock on wood).

dont sleep on miller, that guy can flat out play. he would be perfect in the suns system. he can shoot, he can handle. that last trade would give the suns more flexability with lineups. and the reason d'antoni only plays 8 or 9 guys is because ownership and management keep shipping players and draft picks out for pennies on the dollar. that last deal would really balance out the team and improve depth. i like it for both teams actually, but more so for the suns.
Don't act like you're not impressed.

the fact that Amare can bail out of his contract should be enough for Memphis to say no unless more picks can be added in.

Playing around and adding in another team I found a trade that looks good overall adding in Chicago to the deal.

Memphis gets:
Banks
Diaw
Nocioni
Wallace
Atl 2008 1st round pick via Phoenix
Chicago 2008 1st round pick

Chicago gets:
Warrick
Swift
Miller
Amare Stoudemire

Phoenix gets:
Gasol
Damon Stoudamire
Deng
Sefalosha
Noah

If a 3-way could be done like that, I would even give up Tucker and or Strawberry to either team to get it done.

Suns: (with Tucker/Strawberry removed)
Nash/Stoudamire
Bell/Barbosa/Sefalosha
Deng/Hill/Pike
Marion/Noah
Gasol/Skinner/Marks

Bulls:
Hinrich/Duhon
Miller/Gordon
Warrick/Kryhapa
Smith/Thomas
Amare/Swift

Grizzlies:
Conley/Lowry
Navarro/Banks
Gay/Nocioni
Darko/Cardinal
Wallace/Diaw

ORRRR, do a 3-way with Seattle to get each team better fits.

Grizzlies get:
Amare
Banks
Szerbiak (1 year shorter than Diaw's deal)
Atl 08 1st via Suns

Sonics get:
Gasol
Diaw
Warrick

Suns get:
Stoudamire
Wilcox
Collison
Miller

Line-ups:

Grizz:
Conley/Lowry
Navarro/Banks
Gay/Szerbiak
Amare/Cardinal
Darko/Swift

Sonics:
Watson/Ridnour
Durant/West
Green/Wilkins
Diaw/Warrick
Gasol/Thomas

Suns:
Nash/Stoudamire
Bell/Barbosa
Miller/Hill
Marion/Collison
Wilcox/Skinner

For the Suns they keep running with Wilcox in replacement of Amare and get better 3pt shooter in the line-up with Miller. They also get a lot better defensively and especially rebounding wise.

Memphis declines this one easily. I think it's safe to say that Amare > Wallace and the Bulls pick (at least to Memphis).
