Minnesota - They get a good starting defensive center to go along with their non-defensive scoring PF. And while losing Foye hurts they have McCants to start and get a decent scorer in Willie and some upside in Carney. Plus a future first that will never be in the lottery but could provide a decent rotation player in the future.

Sixers - Get a shooting guard to start with Andre Miller who has good upside and will fit into the long term plan and Ratliffs expiring so they can give Brand the money he needs and also some extrat cap room to go after someone else. Also if Ratliff is finally healthy he brings pretty much what Sammy brings. We can also maybe resign him to a deal starting around 2yrs 4million per.
Sixers 2009 lineup

Miller/LWill
Foye/LWill
Iggy/Thad
Brand/Smith/Hill
Ratliff/Smith/Booth
plus 1st rd pick which could be anywhere from 1 to 8 (Mayo, Rose, Greene, Beasley, Lopez)

With extra money sign another rotation 1/2/3

A $3 mil Foye or an $11 mil Dalembert?

Oh, and if that didn't financially queeze MIN enough, how about tossing in Ratliff's $11.7 mil expiring for good measure?

No thanks from MIN.

id def do this trade from a philly perspective...only thing is i might want to hang onto carney but i think this is a real reasonable deal for daly nd silly green to be taken off our hands

minny wont touch it tho unless they see sammy as a franchise big to pair w big al

There is no way Minnesota does this. They want to keep their youth; if you didn't know already, the T'Wolves absolutely suck and are in total rebuild mode.

So they trade a valuable, young player in Foye, AND a massive expiring contract, for an overpriced Daly and a player who looks like a bust in Carney.

No thanks. I'm sure Minnesota can a center who can be as good as Daly, if not better, in the draft. Maybe DeAndre Jordan?

WOW, no way Philly passes on that. They get out of Dallys big contract for an expiring and they get Foye for Carney and a late pick. And Green, who really wouldnt play in Minny.

both teams pass. minny needs a young pg and theos expiring for the rebuild and philly isnt trading daly. you dont trade big for small,e specially when that big is playing the best basketball of his career and foye has shown $h*t

Wow, yes way they do. Dalembert has become a player & not just a contract (that would be Theo).

I liked him also. I would still like him on Philadelphia next year when he can play for the veteran's minimum.

I think Sixers should take it anyway. Face it, they get a young player (who is from that city, I believe) and a huge expiring. Those two things are perfect for a rebuilding team. Who cares if they lose Daly. This deals gets them the most cap space in the league in the offseason, a better draft pick (DeAndre Jordan to replace Daly?), and a roster full of youth, like Lou Williams, Iggy, Thad Young, etc.

Foye Boye

We're not interested moving Randy. He's the second most valuable pup behind Big Al. He should be back soon and still has a very bright future ahead of him in this league. If on draft day, the Wolves find themselves with Derrick Rose in their laps, Foye may become movable, perhaps for someone like Iggy. But you guys love your Iggy the way we love our Chips-a-Foye so I don't see that happening either.
