I may be in the minority, but I don't think the Knicks should do that. As a franchise, they need to move away from spending tons of money on old/washed up/overpaid players and develop some good young talent. If Artest really wants to come to NY, he'll come in the offseason for the MLE. Marbury, for all the trouble he causes, is about to become a gigantic expiring (thus raising his value astronomically), and you have them trading basically everything even remotely useful on their contract in this deal, and STILL taking Kenny.

I don't touch this if I'm NY. But they have a long history of making trades just like this one, for better or worse (well, obviously for the worse, as of recently).

Kings decline...Bibby's value is not respectable now so he needs to improve his value by the deadline or the offseason...We wont just dump Bibby knowing that his value isnt high...

I think the Knicks decline although i am not high on either of the three Knicks prospects the Kings are getting, because i view them all as backup role players on a good team or poor starters, that is a fair deal for the Kings because it allows them to rebuild completely. Marbury can't be traded because of injury tho so it unlikely

Look, the Knicks aren't trading for lateral or longer contracts. They only will trade for shorter contracts and Thomas is a long deal. If the the Kings took Jefferies, the Knicks take Thomas. I mean, Marbury and Rose are great to add at the deadline because they are almost 27 million in expiring deals.

And the Kings arent trading 2 starters for 0. David Lee is the best player back and his ceiling is a 6th or 7th man.

This trade really does nothing for the Knicks. You add Bibby and Artest to our roster we still wont contend for anything. All it does is hurt our chances for a top lottery selection and we lose Robinson, Lee and Balkman for a false hope for anything positive.
