I would accept as a Pacers fan. I love Green and Telfair. It also frees up time for Diogu which I love.

This is a very interesting deal I am shocked and impressed. I think it is good for both teams.

Any chance Minnesota can keep Richard? You guys can keep Owens if you want. He is Brewer's friend and we like him.

Otherwise none of the contracts are more than 2 years, and J'On could be a very good fit next to Al.

Only possible change would be Jaric instead of Walker, but it would not be a breaking point for me.

Ya'll can keep Richard if salaries would work. As for Jaric, we really would need Walker to replace JO at PF. If this did happen We'd have Tinsley/Telfair/Jaric/Diener at point. We don't need another. So we'd prefer Walker.

I think this helps both teams too. Nice job.

I would say: uugh.

Not a chance you can dump your bad contracts, headcase, doubtful prospect and 12M expiring on us for an expiring of 20 M(opting out), another doubtful prospect and a good starter who is getting less than 1M.

Gerald Green and Sebastian Telfair are both good prospects at positions we need.

We only really lose Rush and JO, the others don't play. The contracts might be bad, but they are only for a year or two. I love this deal. I jump all over it.

Also, JO isn't opting out from us. He won't get paid as much anywhere else, so unless he takes a lot less money to play for a contender(which he could just do 2 years from now), then he won't opt out.

What bad contract? This summer, Walker and Buckner become tradable expirings ($9 mil and $4 mil, respectively).

I don't know how I feel about this deal, because Jermaine's $23 mil option in 2009-10 kind of scares me, when we may need to re-sign Rashad. Its like a current max deal .. times two. In addition, does this jeopardize our position at the head of the draft lottery? I also think Larry Bird would want more.

I have to think about this, but in the meantime, let me say kudos to shagadelic for one of the most innovative trades I've seen in weeks.

is there a way JO could go to a third team like LAL? I was playing around with something but in this deal it seems like LAL would get JO too cheap. Plus Not sure if Min would like to take on Vlad's contract What do you guys think?

the whole point of the deal is to send JO to Minnesota so i kinda think that'd be a deal breaker. MIN has no use for vladrad's contract.

i think i'd prefer to leave richard, telfair and rush out of it

TWOLVES GET
O'Neal, Harrison, Graham, Owens

PACERS GET
Ratliff, Walker, Buckner, Green

would that be a deal breaker?

I seriously doubt Minny would be willing to take on such a massive deal in the middle of a rebuilding process.

Indy does actually have something Minnesota could use though, Jeff Foster. He'd immediately pay dividends by guarding the opposing center, effectively preserving Al Jefferson.

Would McHale do Foster/ Owens for Green / Telfair?

Sure Foster would help the Wolves play a lot better basketball, but I'm not sure the 31 year old Foster is the best fit for this rebuilding team. Maybe in a couple of years when they've got a better thing going.

How come my fellow Pcers fans like this deal?

We get nothing of interest back in this one, other than the large expiring contract of Ratliff. We don't trade Tinsley or Murphy and have the pleasure of watching Walker shootin fours ... UGH!

And so far it looks like Telfair and Green are never gonna be starters in this league, so why do any of you want them?

If we move JO to Minny I'd want plyers like Foye and McCants, too bad they can't trade thir own 2008 pick anymore.

That's what I was thinking. I mean I understand we won't get Foye or McCants, but Green and Telfair? Cmon. Oh yeah, and I HATE WALKER.

I'd say we can only use a very good SG(prospect) because we already have three good SG's. And I just don't want Telfair in Indiana. Neither an improvement on talent, neither on attitude.

And like oomph said. We don't get rid of any overpaid, unwanted player.
(if we don't count JO off course :P )

I was just assuming JO would opt out with the Timberwolves, but that might not be so sure indead.

The rebuilding Wolves dont need JO, thats NOT a good fit at all... but yes sending him over to the Lakers makes sense and this works in the checker:

Minny trades: Antoine Walker, Greg Buckner, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair
Minny receives: Kwame Brown, Chris Mihm, Trevor Ariza, David Harrison

Indy trades: Jermaine O'Neal, David Harrison
Indy receives: Antoine Walker, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, Greg Buckner, Javaris Crittenton

Lakers trade: Kwame Brown, Chris Mihm, Trevor Ariza, Javaris Crittenton
Lakers receive: Jermaine O'Neal

I don't see any interesting prospects in that trade too, and no big expiring contracts either.

JO's value might have dropped a bit the last weeks but these offers are pure crap!
