Den trades: AI, Chucky Atkins
Den Receives: Andre Miller, Vince Carter, next years 1st

NJ trades: VC, Magloire
NJ Receives: JO, Atkins, 2 1st round picks

Indy trades: JO, Shawne Williams, 1st round pick
Indy Receives: AI

Philly trades: Dre Miller
Receives: Magloire, Shawne Williams

Denver gets a more balanced lineup.

NJ gets a frontcourt piece that expires with KIdd, allowing them to rebuild immediately after next year.

Indy gets AI....starting lineup of Tinsley/AI/Dunleavy/Granger/Foster

Philly saves money and gets a great prospect.

Pacers pass. AI isn't going to make us a contender, so why trade a very good prospect and a 1st along with our best player to get him? We basically give away our future and stay in mediocrity at the same time. No deal.

Nuggets get way too much.

AI was traded for Miller, Smith, and 2 1sts.
So, you're saying that VC is worth Smith, Atkins, and a 1st? No way. Even if you took out the 1st, it's not close at all.

Well AI's value is certainly much higher than when the Sixers traded him.

It might not make you a championship team, but will probably take you to a top 5 seed and give you a chance to get to the second round. You dont lose any financial flexibility either.

I mean, if you take your approach taht its not worth doing if it doesnt make you a championship team, the Pacers might as well dump JO for expirings right now.

If the Pacers trade JO it will either to become a contender(which won't happen) or to rebuild.

Trading JO, a 1st round pick, and Shawne Williams(showing a lot of promise) is just ridiculous. Why would we trade away 2 HUGE pieces of our future when we are trying to rebuild? It doesn't make sense at all.
