another laker shot down, need reinforcements LAL/GSW

Post#1 » by wezbo » Mon Jan 21, 2008 5:13 am

1st losing bynum absolutely hurt l.a offensively and defensively, and now ariza has been in injured and once again they have no defensive sfs, not to mention radman and mihm are aslo injured

Odom 1st Rd Pick

Harington Pietrus

why for l.a, they get a 2nd option who shoudl help mend the lakers losses offensivly, and pietrus is a nice defensive player with ariza out

l.a with injuries

Kwame/Mbenga
Harington/Turiaf
Luke/Pietrus
Kobe/Sasha/Karl
Fisher/Farmar/Crittenton

damn it was Al and a first plus Pietrus for Odum
then Ellis and Al for Java and Odum
now its Al and Pietrus 4 odum and a first
Damn Odums stock is really dropping makes you think,
anyways Warriors decline.

Lakers pass.

there is no way Odom gets traded to the Warriors, where he is a perfect fit. unless that Ellis and Al for Odom and Java comes back alive

Honestly, I'd accept an Odom+Karl for Harrington+Pietrus+O'Bryant deal.

This is one I'd have to do for the Warriors, even though Odom's contract would probably kill our favorable cap situation. I can't see the Lakers doing it though, not because it wouldn't be a fair trade for them (Harrington + Pietrus + O'Bryant for Odom and maybe Karl as suggested) but because of the division rivalry and the fact that they'd have to face Odom on a regular basis. O]Bryant would probably thrive umder Jackson too. Lakers get two starters for one in Big Al and Pietrus.

Lakers would be way better off just offering Bobby Jones a contract for the rest of the season when his 10 day expires in Memphis. Hell, he might even be an upgrade over ariza.
