i still think the best deal would be in a gasol deal. something that revolves around gasol+cardinal (forget trying to get navarro as simple fill-in) for nocioni+thomas+pick(s)+filler.

but its not an easy deal to pull off. nocioni is BYC, and gasol+cardinal is about 20 mil in salary. getting a third team in on things is probably necessary. but even then, memphis is probably going to feel like they are getting the shorter end of the stick. and i wouldnt blame them. i just think nocioni (a player they apparently targeted this summer) and solid former lottery pick like thomas (check out thomas' box scores when he gets 23+ minutes a night). kid can play given some PT. i honestly dont know why chicago is looking to move him so bad...

probably not gonna get it done but Andre Miller, Thaddeus Young and Rodney Carney...most Philly fans would not though..

I really don't see Memphis doing that. They will at least want Deng, as well they should.

and thats the issue. no team is going to offer a player at the value of deng. and that seems to be what memphis wants. really, what team would offer that kind of value (and im not even a big deng fan)?

I can see Memphis doing a Nocioni/Thomas deal but depends what else the Bulls give up to make it more appealing to the Grizzlies. Plus Deng trade will cost the Bulls to give up more players (cause his salary) something Paxson won't do.

Odom and a Pick is not bad

If Odom and a pick can get it done...Miller, Carney and Smith should suffice as well.

What's Dalembert value?

Nocioni+Thomas+filler won't get you Gasol from the Grizz, but it could get you Mike Miller and Hakim Warrick.

I prefer Mike Miller over Gasol anyways. But I would think Memphis would want Gordon for Miller. Hey If Warrick comes with Miller I would definitely think about it.

Cliff Levingston isn't interested in giving up Thomas to dump Nocioni. Noc has enough value by himself to at least grab an expiring contract.

Orlando has expirings and we would gladly work a deal for Nocioni. Give me your best shot. If the Bulls are wanting to rid themselves of that trouble maker Noah we might be persuaded.

Noah isn't a troublemaker, but you must have missed the last couple times Cliff Levingston has made his Magic proposal:

Bulls trade:
- Andres Nocioni
- Chris Duhon
Magic trade:
- J.J. Redick
- Keyon Dooling
- Pat Garrity
- Rights to Fran Vazquez

Gives the Magic two serviceable players in Duhon and Nocioni while giving the Bulls some expiring deals, more offense in the back court via Dooling and Redick and Vazquez's right to hold onto for a rainy day.

Cliff Levingston has just handed the Magic the deal of the century. Not only do the Magic make that deal, they send Cliff Levingston some flowers.

No he didn't; Nocioni is wildly overrated, but thanks for the flowers. Make sure they smell pretty, otherwise Cliff Levingston will rescind the deal. :)
