How is this even a remotely good deal for Philly? Seriously.

Philly doesn't have any intention of trading either of those guys. Not enough value for them.

Not much of a fit for the Hawks, either. They shouldn't be taking on Dalembert's contract unless they intend to also wave goodbye to one or both of the Joshes, and don't need to give value for Lou Williams with Acie Law already on the team for free.

C'mon, this isn't a bad deal. Shelden is a young big #5. Woody is a very bad coach. Zaza put up 12/8 at C in the recent past (Woody?).
And you reduce your pay-roll and get two picks.

I'd say this is a pretty bad deal for the Sixers. Daly is finally showing what he's capable of, playing a great season, and Louis is a promising young PG they can definitely use with Miller not being the youngest anymore.

Zaza is a nice backup, nothing more, and definitely nowhere near Dalembert. Shelden has yet to prove that he's good enough to play in the NBA, while Lue and Johnson are only useful due to their expiring contracts. I don't put too much value to the draft picks, either, since the Hawks have a very good young team with a lot of potential, therefor that 1st rounder in 2010 doesn't look too tempting.

yes this is a very bad deal for the Sixers. Shelden and Zaza can barely get off the bench for a mediocre Hawks team- no one is goign to give up anything of significant value for them right now.

The only way you get Sixers fans to agree to that sentiment is if you made a few typos, such as spelling Law "Lue", and spelling Horford "Shelden."

You're asking us to give up two of the three players our GM called out as major building blocks of the franchise for picks that don't show up until we plan to be good, expiring contracts that let us sign nobody we can't already fit under the cap, and a project who's managed to degrade to 1/10th, if that, of what Sammy can do.

Friendly suggestion: rethink this deal, actually paying attention to the Sixers' needs, thought process, and player valuations. This doesn't come close to doing that.

Please be serious. Shelden is a wasted draft pick, Zaza a bench player & the other guys are expiring contracts. You're asking for a starter & a rotation guy that could be a star. Start with Horford.

Seriously... this is a whole lot of garbage for two young players that figure to be a part of the Sixers' future plans.

Sixers pass.

I think this is bad for both teams!!!!

You have Dalembert who granted is giving 11/10 but for the money and the Hawks I'll pass.... I mean you are asking for two big men that one has proven he's a better scorer and not that far off as a rebounder and the other if given the right time could develop. Plus a 1st and a Second!

Are we still talking about Samuel Dalembert???

One pick. Seconds don't count. And look, Lou-Will's going to be a star. He's one of the few good things Billy King did. You should have drafted him if you wanted him two years ago...And all due respect, Sheldon hasn't shown anything. Now that protect first-round pick and Sheldon plus AJ and Lue for Andrew Miller will put you in the playoffs. And the money works...
