Dalembert

I am a 76ers fan, but I also root for the Raptors and Phx due to my being a proud Canadian.

With that, I feel that Dalembert would be a strong addition to the Raps as they enter the playoff stretch. Sam would be a defensive presence beside Bosh, as well as helping with the Raps rebounding woes.

So, what would the Raptor fans part with in order to get Sam?

I propose Dalembert and Willie Green in a package for Bargnani, Graham, Dixon, Garbajosa and this year's 1st.

This would be an aggressive move that would help the Raptors make a push in the playoffs.

What do ya think?

This has been proposed so many times. Sixers don't want to trade Dalembert for Bargnani.

I doubt the Raptors will give up on Bargnani for Dalembert.

Dalembert would be a great addition to this team, but we just don't have the assets to get him here.

Sixer "fans" do not make the call... and the Raptors would have to give up something, Bargnani, in order to get Dalembert.

This deal would help both teams. Stefanski is allegedly after a PF for the 6ers, but where do you find a quality PF these days? I don't know either.

I feel that Bargnani would be a great addition to the 6ers at the 4. His shooting and passing skills would compliment the slashing styles of Iguodala, Young, etc.

If the Raptors were to go into the playoffs with this lineup, Calderon/Parker/Moon/Bosh/Dalembert with the bench you have in Toronto, you cold easily make a run like Clev did last year.

Nope. No way Colangelo gives up on Bargnani for Dalembert.

I give you Hump, Kapono and Graham, but that's it. That's not what Philly's looking for either.

Dalembert isn't worth the subtraction of one of our core players (TJ, Calderon, Bosh, Bargnani) We're currently in the process of looking for another piece to ADD to the core.

Unless there's an amazing trade offer (Daly for Bargs isn't) I wouldn't even consider dealing one of the PGs or Andrea until this team is a move away from contending... we're not there yet.

And BC & the Raptors DON'T WANT to trade Bargnani for Dalembert.

Dalembert is gonna average something like $11 mil for the next 3 yrs --- OUCH! :nonono:

I'd consider trading Rasho + Joey G + pick for him though.

Oh, and he wanted to throw in Willie Green. Asking us to take Green is like asking us to jump into the water chained to an anchor.

You're going to get a lot of opposition to a deal like this but many Raptor fans see it as a very necessary move to improve the inside defense and rebounding. Simply put, Bargs isn't a Center and while he might become a 20 ppg scorer in time, he will never be what this team needs in terms of guarding the basket and rebounding the ball.

That said, Toronto shouldn't be throwing in a first rounder too. Bargnani + giving all that instant cap relief and taking Green's awful contract should be enough.

Sixers aren't trading Dalembert for Bargnani who has done nothing to merit his #1 selection. Looks like a bust so far, not a core player. To be fair though, he must be given more time.
