Orlando would need to involve other players for salary purposes but it might work since the Magic need a PF. However Hedo's numbers would go down playing allongside Kobe I guess. Still he is the kind of player who does more than just score...

Jarvis Hayes. Maybe also Aaron Afflalo.

Sounds like I'm dissing Turk but I'm not, it's just the makeup of the Pistons. I wouldn't trade the "big 4" for him. The weakest starter (McDyess) and the 6th man (Maxiell) are big men, and trading a useful big man for a talented G/F doesn't make much sense for the Pistons. Amir is a freak of nature and should be kept. That just leaves the rookies (Stuckey, our PG of the future, who we need to keep)... so Hayes and Afflalo I'd give up for him.

Warriors can't really make an offer.

Baron and Jackson are obviously off the table, we need Harrington's size, and no one else has enough salary to make a deal work.

Although if we could swing a deal for a legit PF, I'd be open to something centered around Harrington for Hedo.

Actually losing Tony Allen would be too much of a loss. Maybe Glen Davis would be a better deal.

As a Magic fan, I say this. He won't be as good on other teams as he is on the Magic. On the Magic he is pretty much our number 1 scoring option, plus he has alot of room to operate. On other teams I doubt he gets the looks he is currently getting now.

Most of these offers are a joke. Turk is averaging 20,5,4 and is 6th in the league in 4th quarter scoring. Turk is worth much more to Orlando than Odom, let alone a lot of the other jokers being brought up. Turk is our #1 scorer and one of the best closers in the league, all while being on a great contract. He pretty much is the anti-Odom. Turk single handedly beat NJ last night fouling out Jefferson and Carter in the process.

"Single-handedly" is a bit of hyperbole, considering he's playing with the new Superman...

But your points are valid, Cammo101. I think tranjSAIC hit the nail on the head; he's in an ideal situation to maximize his talents.

As for Da-Met's offer and the like: I sort of agree with the poster that called it homeriffic. Obviously, Da-Met was not trying to say "Hedo = Arron+Jarvis". But I feel whenever someone doesn't just come out and say "we are not in a position to make a competitive offer" or something along those lines, it adds to dark cloud of homerism on this board.

At first glance, this post makes sense. But upon re-examination, I am puzzled.

What exactly do you mean you need Al's size? Harrington is an inch shorter than Turkoglu. As for his bulk, he doesn't use it often enough for that to be a point of contention with the trade, IMO. And his "size" sure doesn't account for more steals, blocks or rebounds per game, as Hedo has him beat in all of those categories.

Personally, I think a Harrington+Pietrus for Hedo swap would be good for both sides. Nellie would probably love to run Davis-Ellis-Jackson-Turkoglu-Webber, even if you may not.

As for what the Nets would offer, I think Hedo's true market value is right around where Mike Miller's is. We had a standing offer to MEM of expirings and a 1st for him; this offer obviously didn't distinguish itself enough from the crowd of teams offering pacckages for Mike near the deadline.

So, NJ would certainly go Swift+1st for Hedo. Thorn'd probably add Marcus (though I wouldn't). How much more, I don't know.

Not really, this is his first year producing. I have no doubt he can avg this in the future but nobodys going to offer a superstar, or their best prospects.. cmon.
