FWIW: Yao to Boston in the off-season?

Post#1 » by P2 » Fri Mar 28, 2008 7:34 pm

It doesn't make too much sense for either team. But still, here's the rumor:

So the Rockets do this because...? Oh yeah I forgot Yao Ming is dumb trouble-making cancerous thug...

Sorry but seriously... Wow that trade is the dumbest thing I have read all day.

Lemme be the first to call shenanigans on this rumor.

Even with Yao's trouble with injuries, this is a ridiculously bad trade for the Rockets.

But still, Houston must realize that they are a championship contender even without Yao. And Ray and Perkins would definitely help.

LOL. Why wouldn't this deal make sense for Boston ?

A semi washed up Ray Allen, a scrub in Perkins and two super low first rounders for the best big man in the league behind Duncan ? Yeah, makes no sense for Boston AT ALL !

The Rockets would do this becauas they realize McGrady and Yao isnt going to work, Yao has a much higher trade value and would still put them in a position to win now and probably get them young talent or draft picks. Im not saying I agree with it but that would be there thinking if Yao were on the trade block. I think they could get more than Perkings (an average role player who probably has looked better than he is with the players around him) and Ray Allen who plays the same position as there best player, and is getting older.

i think if they every trade Yao it'll be b/c of the way the Chinese gov't abuses him during the off-season by not allowing him to rest...

LOL at Boston fans trying to rationalize how this is a good deal for the Rockets.

thats a stupid trade idea.

even though the c's have won games without ray, you can tell how much they miss him if he isn't playing.

its opens up the floor when you have a shooter like him on the floor.
if you don't have someone like him on the floor, teams will sag off, and close in on the paint, making things harder for the c's.

plus, yao is injury prone as well. but despite that, its still a stupid trade for houston as well. they aren't a championship contender without him, and he's still fairly young.

weird.

Shaq is a shell of himself. When he is gone there will be only two centers left in the NBA. Yao and Howard. Everyone else is just a glorified PF. If you are trading one of those then you better get back A LOT!

Bynum still has to prove himself despite a good run by him this season. Oden is an unknown except on playgrounds.

Bad trade for the Rockets. Good trade for the Celtics. It won't happen though. Allen and McGrady won't be a better duo than Yao and McGrady.
