A line up of:
G- Kidd / Terry / Barea
G- Howard / EJones / Foster
F- Artest / Green / Wright
F- Dirk / Thomas / Singleton
C- Damp / Diop /
Wow, that puts them right up there at the top of the west again. They're SOLID defensivley and if I'm not mistaken, Carlisle used to coach Artest on the Pacers.

As a Dallas fan, let me throw something out there. If they're irrelevant (as you claim) unless they do the specific Artest trade that you seem to be referring to (Stack, Bass, maybe Jones), then let's go ahead and call them irrelevant for the season. I highly doubt Sacto does it. There's just no incentive to do it, unless getting Bass for Artest is any incentive. But then, why not just get Odom?

who are they trading? It was to my understanding they had to trade Howard to get artest.

Bass and Stack was the offer that was made to the Kings. As far as I know, Howard was never offered, nor should he be.
And yes, Dallas should do it. However, im not sure the Kings do. Even though I think they aren't going to get much better for Artest, they seem to really want to give up bad contracts in Artest deals.

Sac Town isn't trading Artest unless Howard is involved. . .

The big thing is Artest has limited number of teams he is happy to join, if he ends up unhappy he'll walk away. That and sac already said no to the stack, bass, etc trade so the whole point is moot since lakers are offering odom.

SAC won't do this trade...

If Sac is holding out for a player of Howard's caliber, they're going to be holding out a long, long time.

The Kings would be better off taking an expiring and a 1st rounder than Bass and expiring contracts. But even that wouldn't get that done. The Kings were allegedly asking for a so-so prospect (e.g. Brooks, Kleiza) & 1st rounder at the deadline for a half season (possibly) of Artest. Now teams get Artest for an entire year. Suffice to say it's unlikely the Kings are going to settle for less than what they were asking for a half year of Artest. And Bass, I'm sorry to say, doesn't even live up to the 'so-so' prospect label (at least compared to Brooks & Kleiza).

Wrong. Sacramento is waiting for the Lakers to accept Kenny Thomas with Artest for Odom.

This lineup would win 70 games.

Marbury/Fisher/Farmar
Kobe/Vujacic
Artest/Ariza/Walton
Gasol/Thomas/Radmanovic
Bynum/Mihm

Then they'll be waiting even longer.

It's not if Dallas does this trade. It's whether or not Sacramento does this trade. Dallas is the one making the offer, so of course they would do this trade. The same can't be said for Sacramento.

They will be 'relevant' again when Gerald Green reaches his full potential. [/greenfont]

No it wouldn't, and signing Marbury would assure 0 championships

This trade isnt going down because Artest is going to LAL. If they dont get Turiaf then Artest and Kenny are going to LAL for Odom

Damnit Sacramento just ship Artest's unreliable ass to the East. As a Rockets fan, I hate hearing these rumors every day.

I don't think the Kings do that deal... Love Brandon Bass, but there's no room for him to play with all the various bigs and guys who play PF already there, Stackhouse would only take up time that Garcia/Salmons should get, and obviously makes little sense for the Kings team situation. Unless two less important bigs are traded from Sac, Bass will walk after next season, too (like Odom and Marion would fo' sho').
Obviously Dallas would do it in a second.
Probably doesn't happen.

Trade Mark Cuban for Ron Artest.
Problem solved.

No one is taking back KT's contract in an Artest deal AND giving up talent for him.
BTW, wiretap reports the Mavs turned down Artest for Howard. So much for that.

Sac may sweeten an Odom for Artest/Thomas deal by throwing a pick or two in the mix.
