i feel like the Heat get too much value. the Suns probably don't do this, they already have Amare.

Lakers may bite, but Banks contract is nasty

I will admit...it's not that bad...no team really comes out ahead of another.

replace Mihm with Walton and you have a deal (yes on the Banks, which is why I suggested this switch). Of course, Miami checks out at that point.

That's clearly not happening.

Miami does get too much IMO, but the difference is probably more like a second rounder or two, not taking on the barbarously bad contract of Luke Walton...

5 years 26 mill left is not bad for a guy with a hall of fame father and a grateful dead tattoo. he'll be the face of your franchise in 2013!

The deal itself is as fair and balanced as it can be.
Incentives for each team:
Lakers get the missing piece to make another run, they missed out on Artest and instead get a better talent that gives them a defensive stopper and athletic forward to run with Kobe. While I admit Banks deal is tough to swallow, he at the very least gives them a defensive deep threat to spread the floor with Kobe. He brings equal value to Farmer may even cost less than him in the long run. Farmer can command possible mid level which will b higher than banks salary

Suns get really good value for Barbosa who does not seem to be in their future plans. They also shed his final year to have more cap space in Amare contract year. Haslem gives them exactly what they need muscle and hustle to battle out in the rugged west.

Heat- Get odom back who can be a hybrid that rotates with Beasely at the 3 and 4. THey also get a PG tht fits great with Wade. Odom also gets reunited with Wade to continue what they could not finish a couple years ago. Mihm gives the heat a big man who brings more defense than Blount. It also helps the heat by filling a need where they can spend cap space to fill the middle spot.

Marion>>Odom, but in this scenario I think the Suns get the value. Miami would deal straight up with LA.
