tastes like chicken.

Actually,I felt my Warriors should NOT deal, unless given a GOOD offer. GM Riley said about the same thing (which I WANTED to believe). He said what I felt, summer has better trade options for us.

So if true, Mayo for Ellis wasn't a good deal for GSW?

Last year I said NY would not trade for Larry Hughes(Ray Allen called that one) :(
I can't get nothing right. :nonono: Now I did say NY would not get LBJ next year.
Let's hope I'm wrong. :D

Not me. I have had plenty of crow to eat in years past, but this year, no crow to eat.

I was right with NY.
I was right with Dallas moves and lack of moves (TPE, Dampier, Roddy, Hamilton, etc.) that made no sense (inclding Butler's, Howard's and Haywood's respecive value).
I was right with Martin
I was right that Ronnie Brewer would be "dumped" to save some tax money
I was right on Salmons being a contract to be "dumped" (that was a vommit of my crow last year because I have always said Salmons is a contract to dump and he was proving me wrong last year).
I was right that no one, I mean no one, will take Brand or PDiddy even with Kaman and Iggy as incentives.
I was right with the Spurs regretting the Jefferson trade and tax (as evident by trying to dump Mason since they can't dump Jefferson)

Yeah, pretty much right on everything this year. That has not happened in years past.

Way to take the high road

Jes are you the one that told me Beaubois was going to get significant playing time for the Mavs playoff run? Two DNP's? Is he hurt? What's going over there?

No, we had 3 new guys and Rick preferred to play a guy who speaks english better to run the team. And I never said "significant playing time" and "playoff" with Roddy. I did say that he will take Barea's minutes and he will once Butler and Haywood have about a month under their belt.

I'll take a helping.

I said the Jazz were not going to trade talent to save money. They did so TWICE, once in the Maynor deal and once with Ronnie Brewer.

I don't think either of them were especially bad trades or anything, but they do the opposite of what I said Utah would do. So that's on me.

Crow sushi is not worth the effort. I thought LAL, at a minimum, would figure out how to dump Morrison for LT relief like they did with Mihm last season.

What about:
Matt Carroll was the MVP of the Blue vs White scrimmage. It ended in a 42-42 tie, and Carroll was the leading scorer at 14 points and had a few assists too including to an alley oop lob to Marion. Not expecting anything like that in regulation play due to minutes available at the SG spot, but Jason Terry told Carroll that he is "our Paxton; our Kerr." Nelson and Cuban turned down trade offers of Carroll for Banks and Evans: both of whom are 2 year deals. Everyone out of camp was saying how much of a sharp shotter he is.

Long story short: Carroll is not going to be traded and not because he is untouchable, but because his precieved value around the league (and realgm) is much lower than it is to everyone with ties to the Mavs organization. Same is true with Humphries (though he could be a good filler), Howard and Beaubois. You may even add Terry to that list. Honestly, I don't see a trade happpening til at least Dec 15th when Gooden, Thomas and Ross are available.

We don't need to move Howard...especially if it a straight swap for Gerald Wallace. The rest of that is nothing new.

So to recap, Howard is a clear #2 option and Wallace is a glorified role player on a team with terrible rebounders (including Okafor who should have more rebounds than 10.1 in 33 min) and thus, over-rated) while Howard faces Dampier (7.1 reb in 23 min), Dirk (8.4 reb in 37.7), Kidd (6.2 in 35.6) and Bass (4.5 in 19.4) who are all terrific rebounders. And every other stat there was marginal at best where as Howard's PPG was huge.

On Howard's chances of staying a Mav...
95% chance at the trade deadline.
99% he is a Maverick on opening day.

I'll take a small portion of crow, I thought the kings could include nocioni in a trade to get a better contract ending sooner. Obviously there were no takers. However I was pretty close on the kings trade netting landry and rocket fans blasted me.

I'm sure I'm on record saying the Clippers would rather keep Camby than just swap him for other expirings. I'll have my crow fried, please.
