This team will never win anything while Herro is there padding his stats and not playing defense and while Spo is on the bench not coaching. A disgruntled Jimmy is a dangerous player and we’re about to see disgruntled Jimmy…

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

One thing I noticed is we're too soft defensively, losing Tucker is showing early.
and again, too early in the season, guys look like they're not trying on defense.
I'm not sure if Jovic would help right away, in some preseason games he looks gassed early and sus defensively. Gotta be patient with the kid and not give him pressure to start right away.

He did look gassed but I don’t think anyone is asking to make him play 40 minutes. He also looked very capable in preseason when not gassed. Also you can’t be too patient when you’re losing while playing midget ball.

You will see a completely different team from what you are watching once they go on the road. The Heat have problems playing well at home maybe they should be placed in hotels away from distractions while they're here.

Padding his stats?
We definitely saw a different game. If Herro had the key to padd his stats he would have scored 30-40 points, and his defense was no worse than just about everyone else, Jimmy included, who Brown kept blowing by him time and time again, and not just Brown.

Why not try to play him 5 minutes in the quarter and se how he does, maybe he could help right away.

That was one thing Riley did when he coached, he would adjust on the fly based on personnel and the opposite players.
Riley would also throw a tantrum ala Popovich and replaced everyone with rookies and lapdogs if available.

Yeah, I would not sit on that hot skillet this early in the season, your asking for lots of pain, pain and more pain. Spo is not going to be changing the schemes or lineups this early. He will give the starting lineup, enough time to see if it improves or if there something good there if any with enough repetition. He is not known to pull the plan when it looks terrible like a coach we know in Popovich, whom will scrap something quickly.

DJ Wilson or Chris Silva is all that's really out there. Potter is with the Jazz on a 2-way.

Re: Celtics @ Heat - 21st October 2022 at 7:30PM
I agree with others who are saying the switch needs to be made to get Martin the hell out of the starting lineup. The question is: for who??
Obviously the glaring issue is interior defense. Setting aside the fact that we have a big man defender who is supposed to earn his bucks on that end, the facts are that he isn’t enough. Even with someone his same size next to him we’d still be small in the front court. We all saw Jaylen “too small” him yesterday. And Jaylen is a SF. The only option we have is to play our rookie since he’s 6’11 and just deal with the results with him learning by fire. I am in full support of this but it’s not ideal and honestly unfair to him and the rest of the team, especially Jimmy.
I’m tired of everyone skipping over the fact that Riley has continually given Spo and Jimmy **** to work with in terms of roster, and asked them to turn **** to sugar. Jimmy had a poor showing last night, but after he gave his absolute all last playoffs you’d think Pat would go all in to fill the holes he knows are there to reconfig for another deep playoff run. He seems content to waste Jimmy's time.

The too small gesture was funny considering he just threw a prayer up over his head after a bunch of pivot moves and literally no banging bodies

No I'm serious. Bams a great asset, our best. If we are not going to be winning with him let's flip him for someone on Butler's timeline while we can.

Bam is 25 years old. He's a building block. Forget Butler's timeline. I would rather trade Butler and try to recoup some assets. Butler is 33. Unfortunately I think last year was the final hurrah. Might be able to salvage another prime year but it's not this year. Not without a viable 4 or two for that matter. This whole small ball 4 has completely jumped the shark.

To me, Bam is more of a complimentary piece than a franchise centerpiece. Jimmy is a legit franchise player coming off 27/7/4, 30 PER, 12 BPM playoffs. Heat don't have a single young franchise player like some other good young teams do. Still hoping Jovic fills that void but until then you have to ride with Jimmy. If Jimmy shows signs of noticeable decline this season then I think the Heat should put their pride aside and try to go for Wembanyama/Henderson
