Nah not for this team. They're not good enough for title or bust.

It's funny how Spo always plays Duncan in garbage time lineups and when we hold players out in meaningless games lol.

Side note, I really...reallllly.... like Caleb Martin. Wish to heck he could just come off the bench and be a spark plug like a micro Birdman.

He’d be so much better off the bench. It’s one reason I’d love to see us either acquire a real PF, or play Jovic there as a spot starter.

Some of our depth guys, when they get hot...you get some scoring...

When Caleb gets hot...the roof can come off.

When he is all in and flowing, the dude is pretty darn dynamic.

I would love to see them tell him, you. have 15 mins...make something happen and see what he could do.

He looked like a good, big player getting his first NBA minutes.

Spo: get in there, Jovic!

Not great. Spo played him a C. I don’t believe he’s a C, more like a PF.

Tbf he got the rookie treatment and got hosed on a lot of calls. But I agree, he’s not a C and shouldn’t be at this level. He should be a 4. Spo’s love affair of playing every player up a position means he’s a 5 in Spo’s eyes.

If he adds a ton of weight over the next couple years, he could play the 5. But right now, he’s gonna foul a lot given the weight disparity.

Even though the stats won’t say much, he was OK in his debut. He generally was in the right spots and for whatever reason, the team played better when he was on the court. He just knows how to play. Hopefully he as he gets the first game jitters out and starts to adjust to the pace of the league, we’ll see some nice moments from him.

like an ineffective Dedmon game. If it wasn't a foul a minute early on it was darn close.

On the plus side, he did keep his head up, and at least tried to cover ground on defense. He tried to box out some. He did not hold the ball, he really didn't force anything like some young player tend to do. Kinda Duncan like, ineffective, but you can see there was effort there.

At times he was deer in the headlights, but others he looked like he has been here before, moving the ball for example...crisp and fast.

I hope Spo keeps getting him some burn. I suspect it will be situational.... I really wondered if Spo was like yeah...we can give 4 fouls in the next 5 mins with out putting the other team in bonus .... Jovic your going in.

Was he guarding Nurkic? Looking at the Yahoo game log it seems like he must have been. Nurkic must out weight him by nearly a hundred pounds.

As for playing people up a position that seems backwards to me. I would think you would play them down a position to have a height advantage but I guess he is hoping for a speed advantage.

The majority of his fouls came from switching onto a guard driving to the basket or during live ball on a rebound getting positioning. He actually forced the other coach to sit Nurkic because he get getting beat to his spots and Nurkic was struggling to stay to protect the paint and cover the 3pt line. So that was helping Miami score easier baskets on cuts and drives.

This was situational because Bam was in foul trouble, so was dedmon to a degree and he wanted to keep players fresh for the next game on a back to back. I do think, once Yurt comes back he will be the main back up to Bam and Jovic should get situational minutes at the PF spot, those minutes with Jimmy at the PF and Jovic at the 5 yesterday really opened up the game for Caleb/Jimmy to drive into the paint during that lineup over and over. He really does spread the floor something Bam still isn't doing. So I think there's that combination where yeah even in combination with Bam he would most likely be our small ball Center and Bam would slide to the PF role at the High post and let him operate from there. Its no coincidence are shooters began hitting shots when they stopped being contested so aggressively or ran off the three point line. Jovic adds a very good gimmick matchup nightmare to our lineups.

Heat usually get their act together on the road and I believe we have 3 of the top 4 players in this matchup so I'm going to go with our Boyz.

Heat 125 - Blazers 101

24 point win.

Pretty close. Impressive
