Just wanted to mention again that Herro and Butler blossomed at the same time tonight. That's a huge breakthrough. That needs to happen all the time for us to break ceilings.

Start him at SF next to Love/Bam/Jimmy/Herro, his passing/size alone is a upgrade over anything Struss/Robinson are bringing this whole season.

Would like to note that the Heat are now on a 4 game losing steak and are 2.5 games out of 6th place.

3 mins lefts in the first quarter Spo puts in the amazing unit we seen in the Bucks game of Oladipo, Strus, Duncan, Martin and Zeller this amazing unit which started with of course everyones favorite Strus brick. Unit stayed in and was scoreless until they sub Bam in 2 mins later in the 2ndImageImage

Immediately after Bam finally scores Strus loses his man Oubre for a dunk and foul. So Spo calls a play for Strus and gets and Strus fumbles and bumbles. Immediately after guess who gets benched??? Duncan gets benched for Herro and Strus stays in the game so he can get burnt by DJS lol

Last season and the season before the subs were being led by Tyler Herro. This year Herro in the starting lineup and the subs are being led by Max Strus. Not Dipo not Duncan but Max....

21 games left in the season and I held my tongue about Herro should be coming off the bench because it better fits this team. It has resulted in Lowry becoming a spot up shooter with the starters and he now exiled from the team. To Strus leading the second unit all season. Resulting in one of the worse offenses in the league.

Complete failure of a rotation. The Hornets were up by 13 at the end of the quarter. How did Spo let this go into the second quarter? Was he not watching the game? I understand letting players play through issues, but that’s a problem that should be resolved by the end of the first half of the season. Every win matters down this stretch, especially with the brutal upcoming schedule.

I love the Jimmy or Bam with 4 undrafted players lineups where literally every single undrafted guy has a goose egg through the 1st half but they’re shooting literally every shot while Jimmy or Bam are basically just a decoy.

Spoball egolitarian offense at it’s finest (except when it pertains to our 2 stars)

At 6’11” he definitely brings something Strus/ Robinson can’t, and that’s size. Add how anemic and damaging Strus and Duncan have been, Jovic can’t do any worse.
Spo needs a shake up asap, and Jovic worst case scenario would be a statement for the useless, produce or hit the bench.

Since Lowry’s been out, Gabe “the shooter” Vincent has averaged: 11/2/2 on 37/30/90 splits.

Worse in every statistical category than washed Lowry along with meh defense. Amazing stuff

How's his defense? We need defense and assists from the point as well as three point shooting. All that and high iq decision making/ floor vision

The only stat that matters is his three point shooting and defense. The whole purpose of Vincent starting is to allow Herro be the ball handler and have someone to help him defensively. Herro is suppose to take over as the play maker. Is he doing that now?

The biggest problem is not the starting unit. Its the second and third unit.

It's wild our g-leaguers aren't performing up to snuff. But it's easy to play the blame game. I look at our roster construction and I have no clue how to turn it around. The ONLY thing that comes to mind is moving Herro back to the bench because we need the scoring. Dipo was fine before he got hurt, but he's returned and has to get back in his groove. With Herro there, the bulk of the scoring from the starters can happen between Jimmy & Bam with relief from Love and who ever starts at pg/sg (maybe Lowry/Caleb?)

Vicent - Dipo - Herro - Jovic - off the bench as the 9 man rotation

Bam or Love stagger as center

Lowry - Butler - Martin - Love - Adebayo as the starters.

Yeah it’s not Gabe’s fault, he is what he is. I was more commenting on the people who thought he’d be our savior over Lowry.

Clearly we have fundamental roster construction issues with this squad. I think we have a tendency to overthink things when is comes to explaining why that is though. The reality is that we’ve spent the Jimmy era being fairly cheap and in a league where the warriors are breaking spending records and all the real contenders are starting to spend into the tax as well, that’s basically had us trying to compete with a hand tied behind our backs. Our g league finds have allowed us to do that up to this point, but it looks like it’s finally caught up with us.
