i say very likely.
We already saw proof of it in the first preseason game. Spo and the coaching staff will use the veteran, low upside players on the roster for roster continuity over developing our recently acquired youth and size.
This means the Loves, Bryants, Highsmiths , Duncans, Burks, Jrichs of the world over Ware, Keshad, Pelle, and Josh Christopher. Yes, Ware will be on ice. Keshad will be in cryostorage.

as our bench until this year. Expect JRich and his mediocrity as a staple of the bench unit once he returns to play in December, and his months long leash Spo will give him to get back to game speed. expect us to be undersized again, with HH and Love providing zero size as our big men. Duncan will return with a vengeance with streaky ass shooting and providing no consistency. Dru , who we all have no idea is on the roster, will get burn however as the only "PG" on the roster. We will again have no one to orchestrate a team offense.
The youth will get marginal play as Jimmy/Tyler miss their annual 40-50 combined games. We will have one of the 10 worst offenses in the league again. We will be undersized again. There is no real PG on the roster. playmaking will be done by committee from Jimmy,Bam, and hopefully Jovic in a best case scenario. We will win 43-47 games and once again be a play in team. Terry will be yet another undersized guard we've used assets on acquiring, who might bring intensity, but ultimately shot inefficiency and not really moving the needle in terms of title contention.
Some positive developments will be Bam shooting 35% on 3 on 2-3 attempts with defenses actually respecting the shot. Niko has a chance of actually being a difference maker and probably the bright spot of the season and maybe a top50 nba player . Jaime will carve a nice niche as our 6th man. Ware will show signs of being a contributor and being a net positive.
Is this pessimistic? Maybe, but you and i both know how plausible this all sounds. Expect this now and free yourself from championship aspirations this season and i bet you will enjoy this season more. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
How likely is it that Spo will trot out a bench unit we're going to hate?

Re: How likely is it that Spo will trot out a bench unit we're going to hate?
To start the season I'd say high risk but for some reason I'm optimistic right now.
Through the year's I've learned that Spo tend to rather let the old guard hang themselves before telling them immediately their time's up. In the regular season that is. In the playoffs he's brutal to whoever.
He rarely misses on line up changes that need to be made, but it often takes more time than one would like.
I don't expect Jrich to play at all unless heavy injuries strike.
If he can get to: Robinson, Jaime, Locksmith, Ware before the preseason is over I'd be ecstatic. Expecting Love in front of Ware to start off
