Getting an all star might depend on where we’re at in the standings when the coaches vote. It’s not as clear cut as we would think but you would think the nba would rather a player from Miami be in over someone from Charlotte or Detroit.

What is it, 4 guard spots, 6 frontcourt spots, and 2 spots regardless of position?

Dame, Mitchell and Brunson are locks. Then you have Herro, Trae, Cade, Lamelo, Maxey, Haliburton and Garland. Even if guards get both the wild card spots that’s still a tough call, Cavs should probably get 3 all stars considering they have the best record in the league and no one predicted that. It’s going to be a close call

This month January is crucial for Herro's All-Star case. We have to win these 2 coming home games, then the 6 games west road trip is brutal.

The patience that Jovic showed here is a sign of maturity. A month ago he would of rushed and flipped up an off balance shot.

The offense looked so much more smoother without Rozier. Rozier is a blackhole

Feels good seeing Bam and Herro grow to become the key guys going forward. Tyler is either playing himself into untouchable territory, or he’s an excellent trade piece if someone like Anthony Edwards asks out.

Great to see Bam busting out of the offensive issues that have hindered him to start the year. I know we’re hard on him, but it’s because we know how good he can be. Love it when he’s a killer on both ends.

Feel like a proud papa watching our Serbian Prince become a key 6th man. Love the freedom he plays with in that second unit, and man is that a fun lineup alongside Ware and Jaime.

If MWP is gonna eat crow on Niko, I might have to on Ware. He looks the goods. His physical profile is insane, and while he’s raw af you can see what he could become if it all clicks. My biggest question is if Spo will ever let him be more than a 15mpg big while Bam is in a Heat jersey, but that’s a long term question. Right now he’s forcing us to play him given how impactful he’s been in the minutes he’s getting. Love that.

Need to have him shipped out ASAP. Simple Rozier and 2nd for Brogden is all we need. Brogdon btw has been playing great and would fit in seamlessly here with his heady PG play and 3 point shooting. Be night and day from Rozier.

I’m feasting on that Niko crow. Kid looks night and day different. Found his home as our stretch big 6th man. I would just leave him alone in this role and just get some type or capable place holder vet ahead of him that’s bigger than Highsmith. They tried to give Love a look in that role but he’s beyond washed. Not quick enough to play the 4 and no hops to play the 5 and protect the paint. Our dynamic has completely changed with Ware.

Definitely showed A LOT of the same things over the back half of last season when inserted into the starting lineup. Not many 21-year old 6'10+ players in the NBA with his skillset.

Niko actually had the highest BPM of any Miami starter in the Celtics playoff series last season. He and Bam were the only 2 players that started all 5 games and had positive BPM in that series for Miami.

Niko had a shooting slump early this season. He also clearly showed some discomfort in the early season starting lineup being used too much as purely a spot-up shooter (as if he was Duncan Robinson). Def some wonky fits to start the season playing alongside a lineup where everyone is trying to handle the ball and hunt their own offense. He's playing more of his game in the bench role and his shooting is coming back to form.

I do wonder if he would look better back in the adjusted starting lineup in place of Duncan. But, given the synergy Bam and Duncan play with, IDK that there's a need to press it right now.
