How do we dump his contract without burning another draft pick?

Love this draft. Zyon Pullin and Keshad Johnson absolute steals going undrafted.

Gonna be really hard might have to be Duncan and 2026 2nd for a contract that makes less like 6-8 million savings.

Pullin is very underrated indeed:

3.8 AST/TO (ridiculous)
45% 3P (although 22% 3PAr)
53% FTr (85% FT)
131.5 oRTG (although at 20.2% USG)

Those are the type of numbers that Jimmy is exceptionally good at (getting to the line and taking care of the ball). And, Pullin has good size for a true PG at 6’4 & 206 lbs. Love the pickup.

Haven't gotten around to diving into Pullin's game yet.

Can anyone with familiarity help me feel better about the fact that he shot 45% at the rim this past season?

We are talking about a super senior after all… he has way more miles and experience under his belt. He will likely make a better day one impression than Ware.

On a similar note… Edey was a 4 year senior college player when he was drafted. I decided to pull up his freshman and sophomore numbers and compare them to our sophomore drafted big man’s numbers:

Freshman Year Comparison:
Edey as freshman: 2/28 GS/GP 14.7 MP / 8.7 PTS / 4.4 TRB / 1.1 BLK / 0.4 AST / .597 FG% / 5.3 FGA / .714 FT% / 3.3 FTA / n/a 3P% / 0 3PA / 1.4 TOV

Ware as freshman: 4/35 GS/GP 15.8 MP / 6.6 PTS / 4.1 TRB / 1.3 BLK / 0.5 AST / 0.457 FG% / 5.3 FGA / 0.712 FT% / 1.9 FTA / 0.273 3P% / 1.6 3PA / 0.8 TOV

Sophomore Year Comparison:
Edey as sophmore: 33/37 GS/GP 19 MP / 14.4 PTS / 7.7 TRB / 1.2 BLK / 1.2 AST / .648 FG% / 8.8 FGA / .649 FT% / 4.7 FTA / n/a 3P% / 0 3PA / 1.7 TOV

Ware as sophomore: 30/30 GS/GP 32.2 MP / 15.9 PTS / 9.9 TRB / 1.9 BLK / 1.5 AST / 0.586 FG% / 10.7 FGA / 0.634 FT% 4.5 FTA / 0.425 3P% / 1.3 3PA / 1.6 TOV

Not sure what exactly we can get from these numbers, especially since they play the game differently on both the offensive end and defensive end. One is a pure in the post player and the other projects as more of a 3&D potential. One is also a strictly post defender while the other is being touted as being able to cover more positions on the defensive end. I just wanted to see what the numbers looked like if we compared apples to apples .

It was interesting that Simon and Riley kept calling him a 3D player. He wasn't a 3D player in college. His game was primarily on the block and 2nd as a lob and roll guy.

Word was the Miami Heat have a relationship with Arizona coaching staff and trust their system to be compatible. That is why they got both Larsson and Johnson. They have the same comfort with UConn staff.

I think It’s been discussed in here but Indiana was absolutely horrible so he had to play a different game than we’ll see in the NBA

Keshad looks interesting. He looks like an obvious choice to replace Highsmith at some point.

His college stats are all over the place. Over the course of his career he showed high level production across the board with all the basic counting stats.

His combine performance I checked on tankathon showed a high level athlete but they portrayed his measurements in a negative light. For example, his wingspan of 6'10" isnt a negative at 6'7". Thats a plus 3, and universally accepted as a positive. His positional designation is the likely culprit.

I'm intrigued.

If we miss the playoff we keep this year's pick. It's a strong draft.

Start it up DOM, i'd say there's a 50% chance we add a lottery guy in this draft
