Love’s a good guy & we love vets w/ good character. But he hasn’t been deep in the trenches in wars w/ us. He hasn’t no real battle scars w/ us. I thought UD wld be around. Wish Wade was part of our bench, that wld be everything. Vry unfortunate

Would be cool to bring Dragic on the coaching staff he's a lifer

Gogi by far one of my very dear favorites. Such a tough SOB too. Would give everything he had for this team and city.

I agree man. A lot of heart & gave us his everything.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

I’m pretty sure if they cant find a suitable trade they’d prefer he’d be a pro, show up, and do his job.

This is the version of Jimmy we will get for the rest of the year. Zero real effort. Just enough not to get fined but not enough to make a difference win wise. He will coast and preserve his body for his next team.

I think Love's just trying to keep things light don't want the team to spiral.

Meh it’s soft mentality

The Cavs were anus and going nowhere at the time I don't see it as him quitting on his team. Was his final year too so different situation. We weren't complaining when it benefited us at the time lol

As for the soft part meh best to stay in his lane and be who he is. He's not a Franchise anchor like UD was who could put everyone in their place. I'm sure he speaks his mind but different personality and different type of vet than UD.

regret trading him tbh should of finished his career with us.

We've all said it a million times Lowry kinda worked out and almost got us over the hump but that salary really screwed us in the end we def overpaid.

He was there for 3 different eras. Post Bron, Post Wade and the Himmy era. Good times. His story about Birdman running redlights with him in the car always kills me

Good idea if the plan is to tank ticket sales and tv viewership

Works for me, they’ll skyrocket this summer again when we add Fox and have an elite team on both sides of the ball

Heat gonna get badly outbid per usual

Don’t bother holding ur breath

I’m not so sure but even so that’s why we want the books clean for 2026 when he’ll be a FA.

I really think we have a shot at this, we have picks, young guys, and expirings. Fox is expiring so he will have a lot of say in where he goes, we’re in the east so that’s a plus as well and he’s represented by Klutch who will get him where he wants to go

The fatal flaw in all of this is that you are basically asking player X to give up 50+ million to come here. Thats money they will never get back, and like you said he is represented by Klutch. Klutch will not advise a player to give up 50 mil, remember they get paid by commission.

Then we’ll go all out for a trade so we can give him his money. He’s going to stay when they miss the playoffs again? I doubt it, he’s been saying how much he wants to win

Who would have thought that Tyler Herro would have more balls than Jimmy Butler?

I think yall are starting to overrate this lockeroom leadership thing. They have a strict GM and coach in place. End of the day this team just lacks the overall talent to consistently win games. No amount of vet leadership is stopping someone from acting up if they want to act up. We saw it with Winslow, Whiteside, and even Jimmy wanted to fight spo when Harlem was here. End of the day these are grown ass men. Not kids.

Some of that 50 mill he makes up in not paying taxes and probably more in endorsements to boost his brand in a somewhat bigger market in Miami.

Pat's ego is his biggest enemy.

Haha, yup. But also his biggest fuel. It's a double-edged sword n the franchise has been what it has been because of it.

Exactly. Boston finally won after trading away their lockeroom leader in Marcus Smart. Their two most talented players weren't really leader types or were ready to lead, but talent wins out. You can have good minimum contract vets like Haslam, Love to round out the group if top talants aren't leaders in the room

Like he hasn't coasted the regular before this? Lol
If he doesn't get traded, at least he will show up for a series or two in the playoffs, lol

The Nuggets basically school a better/more talented version of the Heat in the Lakers 4-8 times a year, playing the Heat is to easy they just have impossible match ups for Miami.

You know it's a ass whopping when you can't even put any blame on Terry for this loss.
