Spurs are running out 40 year old Chris Paul for Wemby at very least and we here trying to run musical ball handlers by committee with players who have probably never ran point in there life with the exception of Jovic when he was much smaller growing up.

We should probably wait to see if Ware can keep this up. We've had guys flash before and then fade. In the case of Yurt, he faded right out of the NBA.

Yurt was off the street. Ware is a bonafide lottery level talent that fell into our laps at 15

Angel Reese that's harsh lol But Bam continues to struggle for the rest of the season than moving him should be an option. Ware is the only player right now that untouchable. Herro if he put a full season like this, may join the list. Everybody gotta show something. Especially Bam who is 27 and in his prime. If he can't play at an allstar level, then I'd look around to see what I can get for him. I don't think you can pay him 50 mil dollars for this. And he would be valuable for a lot of teams so we could a ton of assets for him. But there is still half a season to go. So he has time to turn it around.

No one is untouchable right now. This team needs a legit superstar to build around. I have no idea how we're going to get one though.

You get one by having a combination of space and assets. Space to absorb big contracts, draft capital to send out. If you can move Bam for 4-5 firsts you do it in my opinion. There is nothing this guy does that should make him unmoveable. It sucks for Bam and for the feels, but we drafted a better player than him at his position, and now Bam’s viability with him relies on his ability to shoot and develop at age 27 into something else, which is currently being tried and failing miserably.

Y’all are getting real fuxkin disrespectful lol.

Hahaha I can't rememeber anyone crying this much for Herro when he was on the trade block. You acting like Bam D Wade. We are under 500 9th seed. Ain't no one on the roster minus Ware right now that's untradeable. If Bam wants to be untradeable he needs to produce for what he's paid for, which to be an allstar. If he was playing allstar level like Herro was, we'd finish in the 5 -6 seeds. But he ain't. So everything should be on the table going foward. Trading Bam, trading Bam and Herro and going full rebuild.
At the end the day the goal is to build a perennial contender that can take on Boston,OKC, Spurs, Rockets, Memphis, Cavs going foward. And you can't do when you pay a guy 50 mil dollars to be your 3rd or 4th best player

I’m not even talking about that, im all for trading him to OKC and watching them win every championship for the next 5 years health permitting while I sit here and say I told you so.

You’re not fuxking with those teams without Bam. You all let a bad shooting slump erase history, prisoners of the moment

OKC ? We ain't anywhere near close to worry about them. We gotta be worrying about fuxking with the likes of Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls. This where we are. And it boils down to our best players are not as good as other teams best players. So it doesn't make sense to be to so eager to hold on to any of our players outside the young guys who are developing.
I don't see a point of paying Bam 50 mil to be a high level role player. That makes 0 sense to me. If he can't be a perennial allstar he should be moved. Cuz what are we holding on him for. To be a play in team ? C'mon
And I doubt OKC would be in for Bam. They're gonna have to pay Chet, Jalin and SGA. SGA is another tier of player. Jalin is and projects to be better than Bam going foward. And Chet if healthy projects to be better than him. So I don't see them taking huge money for a 4th option. They're not an organization thats gonna pay GSW level of tax

I wonder what Miami's shot quality was last night. Despite all the issues it seems like the offense has actually been generating a bunch of clean looks. Just haven't converted anything.

Lol, I love Yurt but he *wishes* he had the length, athleticism, range, and 2-way ability that Ware has. And at a younger age. Totally different prospects.

Ware is legitimately one of the freakier athletic specimens to enter the NBA at the Center position in years (Wemby is obviously the freak of freaks and is less position-specific).

Ware's athletic testing numbers from the combine were basically SF-range numbers.

I just hope they don't bulk him up like they with Hassan Whiteside. I remember when Whiteside played against the Clippers in one his first games with them heat, he was very mobile and was making great scoring moves. Then next year he bulked up like 20 pounds of muscle and he became very slow.

From athletic testing perspective, Ware is in a different class than Whiteside

Lane agility:
Ware - 10.97
Whiteside - 11.83

3/4 Sprint:
Ware - 3.29
Whiteside - 3.54

Standing vertical:
Ware - 31 inches
Whiteside - 27 inches

Moves a lot less gangly, as well. Just gotta work the core rather than the biceps that Whiteside fell in love with but do nothing for bball performance.

I'd argue Hassan was just as complicit in that "bulking", which wasn't all muscle btw. Hassan was notorious for having motor issues which includes conditioning, its one of the reasons he was almost out of the league before Miami resurrected his career in the first place.

Also on this Bam issue, some of you guys are massively overreacting to a bad offensive stretch for a guy who has been the heart and soul of this team as much as Jimmy for the last 5-6 years, while still providing DPOY level defense. Unless you are magically trading for a better player somehow, moving him for picks in some misguided sense that you will easily replace what he provides would be dumb as hell and not something I can see Riley doing in a million years.

Sorry but its posts like this that lead me to believe Heat deserve their failure. The problems with this team begin and end with Bam’s lack of offensive production but sure let’s just call it a “bad offensive stretch”. The team is entering a youth movement phase which means more years of picking 8-11 (which as we’ve seen ultimately leads to nothing) Bam is a respectable player on a contending team that could even be a key cog like a Draymond green on a championship team. That team is not going to be Miami simply put. We don’t have the assets to get another star. Don’t have the time to be waiting around to draft a franchise player when bam is in his 30s. Stop with this nonsense already

Flagg would be amazing. Starting forward. Do it all. Swiss army knife.

Or Dylan Harper. Shifty big time scorer. Wants to be the man.

Ware....best big man in the L by then!

Return to Miami Heat
