Welcome fellow countryman do us proud! Hopefully now he can play for team Canada, heard something like the Warriors wouldn't let him.

I believe they did block that this past summer, which was fair imo since they were so accommodating to him when he missed a ton of games to deal with his personal issues, along with some nagging injury stuff that had been popping up. Seems to have worked out as he's bounced back nicely this season.

Really hoping that Miami can unlock the Wiggins that was a #1 overall pick. At worst he’s a quality 3&D wing. At his best, could elevate higher than he ever has. Has all the tools, just hasn’t happened for him yet.

Come on man. The guy is 30YO.
We ain't unlocking chit, we just better pray he can play at a similar level he did in that GSW championship run where he was a very good 3&D wing that hit shots.

Yeah, because Jimmy was at his best before he came to Miami. Right?

Not the point. The implication was that Wiggins couldn't improve due to age. We know that's not true...

Spo will focus on an aspect of his game that will increase his efficiency. Foul drawing looks like the obvious skill. Wiggs doesnt draw a lot, especially compared to Butler.
Butlers TS% jumped once he came to the Heat. 61% vs 57%. This is fairly standard when players come to the Heat. They become more efficient. Wiggs will too.

Think James posey but more athletic. He played to fit the system. What he is doesn't limit what he could be but he never shows that killer instinct, bully game. Think Jalen brown for must of his career except last year when he was way more aggressive.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

He hasnt been the same since 2022 finals. He was really good in that playoff run 2022 and was the Warriors 2nd best player. Hopefully he can produce here.

Re: Welcome to Miami, Andrew Wiggins
He had been looking a lot more like '22 Wiggins recently. He will never be peak Jimmy, but I think his crappy game against the Celtics was just a crappy game. I expect him to fit in and be an above average 3&D starter for the Heat (one who can also get the basket here and there). Then that 1st round pick the Heat got will be helping them long after Jimmy is out of the league.

Re: Welcome to Miami, Andrew Wiggins
The trade to Miami was a gift for Wiggins.
He has the chance to show his offensive game and not continue to be the sidekick of a trio of friends like Curry, Thompson and Green.
He spent 5 prime years of his career with Warriors waiting for an offensive touch.
Miami is a big opportunity for Wiggins.
I also think that the Heat are a better team right now than Warriors.
Warriors have a big gap at positions 4 and 5.
Heat have 2 super athletic bigs in Adebayo and Ware and a rock solid defense.
Maybe the best defense in the league.
I think that Miami should not be underestimated as a team and I talk about this year and not the future

Re: Welcome to Miami, Andrew Wiggins
I thought the best defense was who gave up the fewest points. Maybe it means something different now, and always has? Since most teams(Including the Heat now) give up 110+ these days, it definitely means something different now. I'm not being sarcastic at all. I apparently don't understand what good defense actually means.vagelis wrote:...and a rock solid defense.

I think that this current roster of the Heat is very solid on defense.
It is a new lineup and played 3 very difficult teams the last 5 games.
Lets see the stats from now until the end of the regular season.
