as is, we dolphins fans are having a quite miserable early season and we had high hopes with that team too.

I'm not sure why 48 wins seems so ambitious. We had 46 last season.

According to betting, the top 5 teams in the East are Boston, Knicks, Philly, Bucks and our Heat (though we are tied with Orlando and Cavs), and in the West, the top 5 are OKC, Minnesota, Dallas, Denver and Phoenix. We were 4-19 against that East top 4 and West top 5 last season, so can we really do much worse?

We are in the mix with the rest of the teams, but the teams that are better than that already whooped us at a high rate, the bar is low.

But we were also extremely injured. Herro (42), Jovic (46), Jimmy (60), Rozier (61), even Bam (71).

Most of our guys are on the upswing and should improve. Only Love and Jimmy should expect decline, but Love is relegated already and Jimmy is motivated. Everyone else is expected to be in prime or improving with age.

An IggieCC comeback would be a lot of fun. Not sure why we would trade Duncan for a PF if Jovic is getting his chance, but I digress. LFG!

1) How many wins will the Heat have in the 2024-2025 season?
49

2) Will we make the playoffs this year? If yes - what seed will we be?
4th

3) Who will be our top 5 leading scorers, and what will their PPG be?
Jimmy - 21.2ppg
Bam - 19.2ppg
Herro - 18.2ppg
Rozier - 15.0ppg
Jaime - 13.2ppg

4) Who will be our best overall new addition (new to the regular rotation)?
Pelle Larsson

5) Who will be our best overall young/inexperienced player? (Jovic/Jamie/Larsson/Ware/Josh Christopher/Keshad)?
Jaime

6) Which player will make the biggest improvement from last year?
Jaime

7) Who will be the biggest disappointment?
Butler (missed games)

8) What trades will we end up doing during the year (or even before the season starts)?
Probably nothing worth mentioning. Hoping for a Butler trade though...

9) What will be the biggest surprise of the season? (positive or negative or both)
Jimmy will play 72 games.... I don't really believe this but what the heck, let's shoot for the moon.

10) What will our board posters write about Spo once this season is over?
Best coach in nba, should have played younger players more in playoffs.

11) Predict a nice/interesting statistical nugget you can see happening with the team or a player.
Bam will have at least one game with five 3pters made.

12) Predict the weirdest moment of the season.
Terrible fantasy trades by the fans and media to bring Lebron and a bum ass Bronny to the Heat for way too much. This of course after the Lakers disappoint and JJ Reddick is fired.

13) Predict a RealGM Heat-board development you expect to see with a long time poster/s.
Certain posters demanding Riley be fired. As they do every season. Throw in a desire to tank and to somehow over pay with future picks to get back the 2025 pick from OKC.

14) What will you consider a success/failure this year?
Minimum two rounds of competitive playoff basketball with consistency during regular season is success. Anything less is a failure!

15) What will be the biggest factor to impact our success or failure this year?
Butler and Herro's health and availability.

16) What are your picks for Eastern champions, Western champions - and finally NBA Champions?
Celtics, Thunder
Champs Thunder cause eff the Celtics

Second round of playoffs.

Looks like Eddieheatfan is going to runaway with this

19 games left and Miami has 29 wins. They have to go 13-6 just to get to Eddieheatfan's prediction, let alone 16-3 to get to the 45 wins several of us predicted :noway:

Well - unless Miami wins every game remaining, they did worse than anyone on this board could have predicted.

I'll be sick to my stomach if that happens. I've already posted in the 2025 Draft thread and am already looking forward to the Draft lottery. Let's not ruin this for me now.
