Wade played off instinct, he knew how to react to any coverage thrown at him whether he was attacking the basket or whatever without even having to think about it. You can’t teach that stuff

See my last post I just posted, Anthony covers it. They held off but ultimately ended up having to. The gamble didn’t pay off

Guess this will give Powell a good chance to get acclimated as the go to scoring guard before they have to figure it out together now.

Averaged 25 on 63TS% in 33 games without Kawhi last year BUT he did play next to Hardens elite playmaking. We’ll see if he can give similar production

If there was any more evidence needed that this season needs to be tanked, we just got it. I aint bothering to buy tickets and probably won’t waste my time seeing many games. The focus needs to be on the future. Reset the team and then rebuild. Then there will be a reason to watch Heat games

Would be great to give Spo a one year hiatus too, but that aint gonna happen. Just going to keep treadmilling with a team past its window.

At least this should also mean more early season minutes for Larsson as well.

Trade Bam to SA/OKC/LA/Bos etc

Trade Wiggins to a contender

Trade Powell to a contender

Trade for Highsmith and then reroute him to a contender to get the asset you stupidly sent out to trade him back

First of all I hope for a fast recovery from Herro.
He is a talented player.

Miami has to not panic and blow it up.
Give the time to evaluate the roster.
At least 2-3 months.

Wiggins and Powel can score the ball and can raise their value.

Herro was a force in offense but a black hole in defense.
Lets see how the team operates without him.

He’s burnt out man. For perspective, he is the longest tenured coach in the NBA. For additonal perspective, Pat Riley served as head coach for the Lakers from 1979 - 1990, then as head coach for the Knicks through 1995 and was burnt out with both teams. That is 16 seasons. Spo is entering his 17th season, having assumed the head coach role in 2008. Not to mention all the hours he spent as an assistant starting in 1995.

No human is capable of the high level of output required to be a head coach of the same team for so many years, other than maybe Poppovich who had years of david robinson, tim duncan, and other greats helping him out.

The Heat need to have an intervention and give that dude a season to reset. Come back hungry. Not just going through the motions with a team that may be a 6th seed at best and go no where.

Great just what the team needed. It will take that much longer now to incorporate Herro back into the lineup once he gets healthy

Probably doesn’t change their overall win total much unless it’s something more serious and Tyler ends up missing a big chunk of the season.

I had them pegged to start slow regardless, 1–7 not unrealistic. The only real soft spot in the opening stretch is the home game vs Charlotte. Everything else is a grind, road trips to Orlando, Memphis, San Antonio, both LA teams and Denver; also they have a home game vs NY. That’s a brutal way to open the season.

I still see them settling around 43–39 at the end. I bet most have not realized how the schedule is front loaded with a lot of the difficult games. After 40 games they could be sitting at something like 16–24, which will make the standings look ugly. I fully expect the “time to tank” crowd to get loud, pointing at the record and dreaming about lottery odds.

But they won’t tank, once the schedule lightens up after the All-Star break, they’ll rack up wins and all those doomsday trade deadline posts will age like milk.

Already prepared for this...

Bam better not ruin this tank season. He needs to get a mysterious injury too and miss significant time.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?
