The draft coming up is loaded with big men. Riley prefers a veteran PG to run the show.

we need a ballhadler that can shoot...and we have a lot of expirings that Memphis likes.

Mike Miller to Miami makes too much sense.

Jermaine is too injury prone, same as Shaq in that department the last couple years.

But, he is 6 years younger than Shaq. So he should be able to recover since he is only 29 right now.

Jermaine can still run alot better than Shaq can, he has a jumper, makes free throws and is a better defender and more athletic.

Its not a big upgrade Jermaine over Shaq, they are about equal except Jermaine is younger.

But if we can have Wade, Marion and Jermaine

That is better than Wade and Shaq

Loaded with big men we don't want. I will pass on Jordan (for now), Hibbert, and Thabeet (in the lottery).

I get it: we can trade expirings for a stud now that Marion is here.

But when Shaq was here, trading those same expirings for a stud was not possible .... somehow.

Man, that Shaq guy really weighed us down. :nonono:

difference is Marion won't get any worse next year or the year after, whereas Shaq...

He has a chance THIS year to win the title.

Oh, I'm with you there. I love having Marion compared to having Shaq. That wasn't my point.

Point was, you can't say the choice is having just "Wade & Shaq" or "Wade, Marion, Jermaine." If you can trade JWill and Ricky for an impact player with Marion here, you could do the same deal with Shaq here.

So the comparions should be ...

- Wade / Jermaine / Shaq versus

- Wade / Jermaine / Marion

People are acting like we can only trade JWill/Ricky for an impact player now that Marion is here. JWill and Ricky are the same guys and contracts they were a week ago when Shaq was still here.
