Putting much into college stats = probably the dumbest thing one can do, especially when you consider A&M's situation with how their offense is ran.

Actually, the dumbest thing you can do is drafting a project center and hoping he'll develop his skills riding the bench at the highest level.

If Jordan was the beast some think he is, he'd be demanding minutes with his rebounding and shot-blocking. He's playing against COLLEGE PLAYERS. He played 33 minutes in the most intense game of the CBB season (against Baylor) and he couldn't put up more than 8 and 8.

What actual production is he bringing to the table? He's not a great rebounder or shot-blocker, he has no post skills, and he's Ben Wallace at the line. But, hey, his dunks sure look great on YouTube.

Thank goodness some light is being shed on Jordan. The one clip you get when people send you to youtube to watch his reel is the same reaching behind his head dunk. Realize that people have seen this clip a thousand times and could care less.

Stromile Swift can do dunks that make that one look relatively pale in comparison. He was a number two pick that was drafted on athleticism and did some good things but never had the complete game, especially mentally, to carry on to the next level.

This Video has acouple more things then just the dunk.IT shows how he runs the court and knows where to catch the ball. Also you can see the size and how he uses it.The kid is raw but you can see he has potenial. Remmber that Bynum? When i first saw him i though the kid was over weight and all he did was dunk.

I'd like to see Jordan come out in a few years. He's just not ready for the NBA yet. In a couple years, if he develops a better post game and focuses on the defensive side of the ball, then he'll be fine.

The above reasons are also why I'm a big fan of Thabeet. He's already excellent on the defensive side of the ball and will have a size advantage on offense almost every night in the NBA. His deficiencies are much easier to clear up at this stage of his career than Jordan's. If he can add about 25 lbs of muscle then he'll be set.

Ya'll dudes are selling DeAndre Jordan's game so short it's ridiuclous.

No one is doubting that he is a very raw prospect, but again enough with the "destined to be a bust" talk. That's nonsense.

Texas ATM system absolutely does not cater to the bigs. They rely heavily on their guard play(as 90% of the college game nowadays does). There is no post/repost..Nothing. Only way their bigs get points is off putbacks, and running the floor in transistion. That's it.

Hasheem Thabeet would be an extreme reach at where we will be drafting....

First of all, even if TAMU's offense did post/repost, what would Jordan do? He has ZERO post game. On top of that, he is absolutely brutal at the line.

Secondly, what does TAMU's system have to do with rebounding and shot-blocking? I don't care how raw he is, he should be a beast on defense and on the boards. The guy only plays 21 minutes a game, why isn't he making a bigger impact while he's in there? It's probably because he has questionable aggressiveness and motor, which is the mark of death when you're an athletic, raw prospect.

Amare was raw, but he was so aggressive it didn't matter. Howard was also raw, but he played hard and averaged double-digit rebounds at Jordan's age against grown men. If Jordan wanted to, and if he had the talent you guys think he has, he would command more than 20 minutes a game on a college basketball team.

Honestly, what part of his game do you like? And don't say athleticism, because that's just a means to an end.

You guys are talking about Wright this, Wright that.
If he needs a running team, aren't we having to work our game plan around a guy that would be our 3rd or 4th option in the team when he's in? So if we draft a big man, he will suck becuse he did with Shaq and could not adapt to that type of game or should we just give up on a big man because our 4th option scorer cannot play with a big?
This is non-sense...he stinks and cannot adapt his game. He's not the core of the team, not the main guy and we should not work the team around his strengths.

If we ran because of Wright, we would've been running with Shaq. Wade, Wright, Marion, Banks, and even Blount are players better suited for an uptempo style. Its not about catering to a 22-year-old who's just starting to prove himself. Shaq is pretty much the last of a certain type of big man. We wouldn't go to a slow, post-driven game with Jordan or Thabeet. Only Hibbert would cause us to do that, but who wants him? Its not that Wright couldn't adapt to playing with Shaq, its just that he players better in more uptempo offense. To be honest, I've thought the past couple seasons that our team looks better playing faster. You need to chill out with your Dorell hatred. The kid is 22 and having a nice stretch of games. Why the hostility?

Remember Almond Joy from this past draft?

People were hyping him on this very board, yet he's been released twice since being drafted in the 1st round, IISC.
