Out of Power

Post#1 » by Flash3 » Tue Feb 26, 2008 7:36 pm

I'm stuck here on Brickell @ the office, 29th floor at that, with no power, but our generators are working.

Our computers are miraculously working  --- But, not much else.

I'm thinking of leaving the office early, but the only thing holding me back is that I take the Metro Rail to/from work, and park my car @ the dadeland station. But, the trains are not in service due to the power outage. :-?

I'm debating whether I should just leave and start walking.....

Ugh!!

I work in Naples and we haven't skipped a beat here at work.

Hopefully they resolve it asap.

I just heard on the radio that the outage is an issue statewide, but FPL is yet to give a reason for the outage.

These boards don't work on water. Unless you've got power.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

8 power stations are down according to FPL from Daytona down to Miami. CNN was quick to say terrorism was not suspected. I would like to see an angry old man on tv ranting that Osama did it in cahoots with GWB.

I got power back @ home too. -- Got back home a little while ago.

But, jeez! Downtown Miami is a MESS! -- It took me nearly an hour, if not more to get to the dadeland station, where as it takes me ~20mins on normal days.
