My main consolation it that the guys Riley talks about not giving a damn are in my mind the guys we aren't bringing back (Ricky Davis, Jason Williams, Shaquille O'Neal, Smush Parker) and the guys that will be a smaller part of the team going forward (Blount, and possibly Dorell Wright). I do believe that Riley, Haslem, Marion, Alonzo, Daequan, Banks and for the most part Wade have been giving it their all this season, making it much easier to advocate tanking jokingly and pray for ping pong balls.

I feel that those guys are the line-up going forward and have been putting in the effort. Some of Wade's late game decisions have been bad and he's mailed it in on defense a bit which is a concern, but I hope that was just the injury. Either way, he's out the rest ofd the season, so with that in mind I can continue to advocate tanking without fear. Also Rothstien, our resident whipping boy, is back at the helm, so we have a scape goat the rest of the way.

I wouldn't put Dorrell Wright in with the "no-give-a-damn" group considering how well Riles spoke of him after he went out for the season. Definitely Smush, JWill, Ricky and Blount need to move on IMO.

I put 'possibly' Dorell because the guy got pulled 2 seconds into garbage time for laughing. I also don't think he is one of the guys that Riely was complaining about, just covering my bases though.

Quinn and AJ play hard too. I could see them both being brought back (especially AJ, who's got a cheap team option for the minimum this summer and plays a position of need).

I'm hoping this is the roster next year before additions (including the draft):

PG- Banks/Quinn
SG- Wade/Cook
SF- Marion/Wright
PF- Haslem/AJ
C- Blount/Anthony

Then we can go from there.

From the recent SI NBA rankings. Here is the entry for the Heat

Pat Riley probably wishes he never bothered protesting that Hawks game, but at least Shawn Marion made history. The recently acquired forward became the only player to play in two games on the same day (he also played against Dallas on Dec. 19 as a member of Suns).

The Matrix is able to distort time and space by playing in two games for teams at the same time.
