This years proved that it’s ability not experience that counts. kobe, Kidd and others came up short, wasn’t even close.
In addition, Riley doesn’t seam to be able to say the right thing about keeping it’s own superstar, how in the heck can he attract another superstar.
Our name was all over the draft before we finally selected the guy we were going to select all along. Instead of making MBeasly feel good that the heat wanted him, he had to feel like he was chosen because some deal fell through.
Can’t wait to hear more from our NEW COACH, enough of the president. We're beginning to sound like shaq, always wanting to be in the news.
I think Riley did what he needed to do to get the best possible scenarios to expose themselves. Obviously he didn't get one rich enough for Beasley and I didn't think he would. The only players I'd trade Beasley for would be 2 all stars or a superstar. And nobody is going to give that in return.
As for making Beasley feel comfortable that he was the Heat's guy, I don't think that college players should come into the NBA with those expectations. They haven't proven anything on this level, and should feel blessed to be chosen. He should know the NBA is a business and you have to get the most out of any deal or for any talent that you have to bargain with.
As for Boozer or Brand, I'm not interested in either now that we have Beasley. We need to keep Mike at PF, and look to fill other portions of our roster.
