It's about time he formally issued some sort of trade demand, I think the ship has probably sailed for a Artest trade to the Heat though.

so Ron is acting without an agent, and using emails to ESPN as his negotiating tactic

it's a plan so perfect, it can't help but succeed!

I hope we get him. He would be a great mentor to Beasley...

I guess at this point, throwing more crazy out there isn't gonna drop his value any. We all know Ron is a max level player with a minimum level fuse, which is why he's looking at about a third of what he'd be earning if he wasn't a ticking time bomb.

We wanted Charlie Bell who was dear diarying his emotions during negotiations like an 8 year old girl.

Ron Artest is really the last guy I want next to Beasley. Especially with a new head coach.

Agreed.

I'd rather not expose a 19 year old kid to Artest's brand of insanity. Let him corrupt someone else's youth...

Lakers boner for Artest could benefit us. Maybe a 3-way deal where we send Marion to the Kings, force LA to take on Blount's contract along with Artest and land us Odom, Mihm (maybe a pick) and a few more 2010 expirings and we are in good shape IMO. Someone who loves trade checker please check for option in a 3way deal with the Lakers and Kings where Blount and maybe even Banks are out the door along with Marion for 2010 cap relief and Odom.

Given such a young team and a new coach I would pass on Artest, even if from a pure personnel standpoint it would make sense.

I like that type of deal especially if we can somehow get back other pieces like Brad Miller (who we probably have to send something other than Blount or Banks to Sac) or Farmar. And I agree with everyone else def. don't want Artest here.

If we want to do a 3-way deal involving SAC and LAL it could look like this:

MIA - Lamar Odom, Brad Miller
SAC - Shawn Marion, Trevor Ariza
LAL - Ron Artest, Marcus Banks, Shareef Abdur-Rahim

Note that Ariza and SAR could be exluded from this deal if the Lakers are hesitant to take back two bad contracts.

Chalmers/LLE/Quinn
Wade/Cook
Odom/Jones/Wright
Beasley/Haslem
Miller/Blount

I like that deal alot. Lakers would do it after losing Turiof, Rahim is a decent backup and Sac would have to do that deal.

I think Sacramento would want Mihm over Ariza in that deal though. Not a bad deal IMO
