Where Will We Get Our Un Controllable Force to Win
Now we have Youth
Average age at the start of the season 25.33 out of the current 20 man roster.
Average age at the start of the season 26 with out the Free Agents.
Average age at the start of the season 24.7 with out Jason Williams and Ricky Davis and (24) not counting Morning.
We have talent
Dwayne Wade- NBA Champion; Finals MVP; Olympic Team; AllStar (4years)
Michael Beasley- National Freshman of the Year, No 2 Draft Pick; Led NCAA in rebounding and 3rd scoring
Shawn Marion- Ranked in the top forty in points and rebounds for the last 4 years and average double double all career 15/10
We have Athleticism
Wade, Wright, Beasley, Davis live above the rim
But with all of this where is that intense, and dedicated winner
Now dont take the winner and run with it; cause Wade is a winner but he is new generation and still got a lot to learn.
Even when they won the championship;
We had proven winners for knowlege and a complete understanding of the game Gary Payton, Shaquile O'neal. Alstars that found ways to make it to the playoffs every year
This year we saw it in Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen; San Antonio (though I hate them) Pop and Duncan; Chauncey and Rasheed in Detroit. You can never count them out cause they always find ways to win.
I guess I miss the old school players like Majic J, Michael J, Gary P, Larry Bird, Charles B, Isiah T, Patrick E, and Karl M; that played every game like it was there last. Where there was a rivalary with ever teamed they played there hearts were always bigger than there pay checks.
I feel that we need a player like that; the scary part is that I dont think the NBA produce those type of players anymore; we see signs of it with players like Kobe but nothing consistant
AM I ALONE ON THIS ONE

You're alone.
You're right about the fact that there aren't a lot of intense dedicated winners left in the league.
But, I'll be damned if Wade isn't one of them. If Wade wasn't intense and dedicated during the 2006 Playoffs, then intensity and dedication has never existed in the NBA.

Wades 2006 playoff run was the very definition of not giving up against all odds. The guy played with tremendous heart.

Yeah you alone on this one bruh. I'm looking for talent to be put on this team and surround Wade with. So called "winning" isn't a good indication of that because you could be a career loser (KG, Pierce, and Allen were all technically losers before this year) but not because you're garbage but because you were in a bad situation.
And yeah also like everyone else said Wade is the defintition of a winner and he's technically a vet by now. He's not only been through it all but he's put his team on his back and won it all. Doesn't get more winnery (
) than that.

I miss Majic too, but Wade is definitely cut from the same cloth as those guys.

Well brothers, I do not doubt Wade talents, I loved his game since college, and by all means I never doubt him or his abilities. We must understand this is truly the first time he will truly lead his team and with out a proven veteran. Im not saying he needs one but I pray he doesnt get the Labron Cleveland problem (One man show).
I have faith in Wade but no championship team only had one Superstar or Alstar, check your history

What is micheal Beasley? To me he has the potential of being a Superstar, How about Marion? This team is getting more and more will rounded and cap friendly.

Beasley is projected!!! And by all means i hope he shuts all the comments and questions about him, but still he has not yet played a game.
i Like Marion but truly believe that he might not be here long. We need a player we can depend on for more than half a season or just one year

Mount Rushmore should have Obama, Powell, Wade, and Riley

Re: Where Will We Get Our Un Controllable Force to Win
If Marion goes I trust Riley to get someone as good as or better so thats one spot where we are pretty much guarenteed a good player to be around Wade.
Beasley is going to be great.
Chalmers is a national champion.
Dorell has a ring.
James Jones is one of those guys that deserves something to show for his time in the league and will give you all he's got.
Banks has something to prove
and UD is UD.
Riley is obviously building something here
I think what your looking for is veterans but I'm sure we'll be fine.
The Lakers made it to the finals out of the west with a team similar to one that we are not too far away from building. DWade is our uncontrollable force to win.

No.
The Spurs GM says:
"Very few championship teams have won with young players. The Celtics were young for a while and now they have James Posey, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, P.J. Brown, and Sam Cassell. Championship teams are very seldom made with young players.
