2. The hated "parade" was a big enough ratings draw that it was broadcast nationally.

3. Neither event would command a national timeslot if there weren't willing eyes tuning in.

So we can just stfu about this hollow justification for hate. If it was so bad, it would have been ignored. It was a mere pep rally for Miami fans. If any other team landed the same talent in an offseason, they'd probably want to hold a pep rally too.

If you were down here when it happened, you know too that it was about the biggest thing to happen sportswise since 2006. Dolphins and Marlins have been disappointing lately. The Canes might be the 3rd team in the state now, and no one cares about the Panthers. We needed something to celebrate.

Miami isn't a wealthy town. There is a lot of money living here, but it's not the hardcore fans that hold it. A down-on-its-luck town sometimes needs a little party to lift the spirits. It made everyone down here really happy, and whether you went to the AAA for it or not, you wanted to watch to share a piece of history.

At no point did Lebron say it would be easy. That's bull, southpaw. He did say he wanted to win multiple rings, but I don't see that as bragging. He was just feeding off the energy of the crowd, and we all liked hearing him say it. If you just signed the greatest player on the planet, you'd be stoked to hear him state that his mission is to win many championships. Aim for the stars, so if you miss, you still land on the clouds.

IT WAS FOR MIAMI! These are our boys. Most of us would probably have argued that Wade is better than Bron and deserved an MVP and whatever. But now that doesn't even matter anymore, because these are our boys now. We can celebrate if we want to. Middle fingers to the haters. PEACE.

1. Yes it was because Lebron had 3(NY, LA, Chi) of the biggest markets in America waiting for an answer plus Miami, Cleveland and NJ. Most NBA fans watched it.
2. It was on Sunsports. Statewide not nationally. Hi-lights were on ESPN though.
3. The hi-lights of the celebration that I saw had Lebron say to question that they would win 8 in a row and once practice starts that this would be easy. here is the video that a few posters have been asking me to watch: http://youtu.be/pT-I8jQDQ7c. take it for what its worth. Thing is he said it, predicted it, however you want to phrase it, it's there for all to here. I'm sure you guys will interpret what he says differently than me or most non-heat fans.
Look, the Heat are great. They probably will win 8 rings. It's still chalkboard material for the rest of the league and their fans.

If ESPN picked it up then I am wrong. I thought it was just on Sunsports.

1. LA was not on Bron's list of candidates. He only had Chi and NYC as the other two markets. But it didn't matter where he went, he was the entire offseason. It's why people forget that Wade and Bosh actually had the first "The Decision" show just a few days earlier when they announced their destination on national television. People forget that in the midst of the Lebron hate. Bron gets hated on, and not Wade and Bosh. Figure that out. They all had the same markets waiting.

2. ESPN carried highlights (and cut to some portions live) of a pep rally. Wrap your head around that. Why would a national network carry a local pep rally? It was big news. Bigger than just the city of Miami.

3. You must take everything said literally. He said he's serious about coming here to win multiple championships. He didn't put a set number on it. If you think so, then don't ever bother listening to any politician, because you're gonna take everything literally. He says, "...not 5, not 6..." as in he's not settling for a small number of rings. He wants to win MJ or Bill Russell levels of rings. The Phil Jackson caliber champion. That's what he means. This has been blown out of proportion intentionally to make Bron look bad, but no one is *stupid enough* to take what he said literally. The people he was talking to (Heat fans) understood exactly what he meant.

As for the easy statement, do you just ignore the rest of what he said? "The way we're gonna challenge each other in practice, once the game start, it's gonna be easy. I mean, with me and D-Wade running the wing, I mean, Pat can come back and play like he was back in his Kentucky days. Just throw it up there and we'll go get it."

Did he say winning would be easy? I don't know if that's the interpretation Heat fans got out of it at all. He starts the statement by stating that they are gonna challenge themselves. They're gonna challenge one another in practice. So he already admits to a challenge approaching. If they push hard enough, the game should come easier, shouldn't it? I know everyone feels clever reading whatever they want into every statement he makes, but this one is a stretch. People want to believe that these guys are arrogant and brash, but they've owned up to all criticism and difficulties they've encountered on the season.

Getting the crowd pumped up during a pep rally is not a crime. Bulletin board material? Pfft. At this stage in the postseason, most of those bulletin boards are facing empty lockers. The only people who get bulletin board material now are title contenders, of which there remain only 3 other teams. Bulletin board material? Ha! Fat load of good it'll do anyone. Unless that bulletin board can score 30+ a night, it means nothing. PEACE.

Well, I guess we agree to disagree. He did interview with the Clippers.
You are a Heat fan. You won't see what every other fans or players of other teams sees as far as the rhetoric that came out at the "pep" rally.I hear/read those comments I get something totally different than you. That's fair.
Bulletin Board material won't do anyone any good huh? Chris Bosh has said what Boozer said motivated him to play better.

The GB on this site is probably the worst section on any forum on the internet. With that said, it's entertaining and funny especially when the Heat win. I have to admit if we do end up winning it all it will be difficult not to troll.

After all the Lebron hate threads this year after every loss it's funny to see all these rose threads being locked by the massive amount of chicago mods.
